Hi I have written a document containing words and pictures. I have done this on word publisher. I am trying to send it to SOMEONE via e- mail but they dont have word publisher to open the document. How can I do this please? Isn't there an option to save your work in Publisher as a .pdf ? ?
I seem to remember this but it's been awhile.
If so they will be able to open them with Adobe Acrobat which is free...

Well, folks, my attempt to contact zdrive at the email address for Customer Support, shown on http://zdrive.wn.com/help.php, has merely resulted in several "Mail Delivery System" notices telling me the message has not yet been delivered; it also says, "Delay reason: Connection timed out". I am taking an online electronics course and I am stumped on decibel/logarithm section relating to amplifiers. My problems deal in power or voltage gain, and levels. Here are 2 EXAMPLES that I cannot SOLVE. (1) A power amplifier has a gain of 26dB, and an input of 1 volt. What is the voltage level? (2) An amplifier has a voltage gain of 60dB, the input is 10 microvolts, what is the output? I have a couple formulas, and I know the answers, but I can't figure out how to get the answers from the formulas. The answer to problem one is 20, and the answer to problem 2 is 10. Here are the formulas:

Gain= signal out/signal in

dB= 10 x log(base 10) (W out/ W in)
dB= 20 x log(base 10) (V out/ V in)

Output voltage= input level x gain ratio

I need a very detailed expression as to how to solve these problems. I have looked in two textbooks for further explanation, but I cannot FIND the solutions.

most often yes they dont like it cuz they like closed source policyI don't see why this would be illegal. You already paid for the software; you might as well customize it to your liking.

In the case of games...modding communities are huge and designers often include modding tools for doing things like what you described, so I doubt they have a PROBLEM with it. It gives their game more replay value, and I'm sure they want happy customers.

Now, if you were modding a game/program and selling it, then that might be crossing the line.Hmmmmmm

Consult the manual.on my laptop there is a configuration menu for it. this is what i do, goto control panel and look for the mouse icon, click on it. a small box should APPEAR with a picture of the touchpad, click on it another box should appear with some different OPTIONS, if you click on device select there should be some options about enabling and disabling the touchpad. i have a different laptop than you so it might not work, but its worth a try hope this helps

When I go to AMAZON and SELECT the 3rd edition to purchase it, there's a little note that says the book hasn't been released YET..

First of all, my ANTIVIRUS hasn't DETECTED anything so I don't think its a virus. I don't download anything from sites I don't trust anyways.

At first, it wasn't so bad. I would start the computer, and it would FREEZE up after about 20 or 30 seconds. But before that, I could get on the explorer really quick and be able to work in that window while the rest of the computer was frozen. So, whenever I wanted to use microsoft word, I would have to restart and open word before the computer froze up and I would be able to work with that.
About a week after this started happening, I went home and brought my computer with me. Once it was away from the internet, this stopped happening. SO, a good long time after I went home I was able to use my computer with out it freezing. WELL, I guess it was only a week or so. But then it flashed that blue screen that says there is something wrong with my computer and it started doing this again. I tried unplugging it completely from the internet again, but this time it didn't help. Once again I'm working in internet explorer while the rest of the computer is frozen.
The clock doesn't EVEN keep time after it is frozen.

Basically, I want to know if its possible to fix this myself, and if not how long would it take for someone to fix it. Oh, and whats wrong too.

I might be wrong, but I expect you'll find some problems.
Eliminate any malware problems and we'll look at overheating, if the problem persists.

If I have a 700MB video file and A 4.7GB DVD, why can I only burn 1 video? What takes up the other 4GB on the disc? or is there a way to burn multiple videos to one DVD that can be played in any dvd player?

I have infrarecorder and it let me add 7 movies before the disc was full but i guess i didnt make an ISO or something and it wouldn't burn. I don't really understand it but I'm just trying to fit as much as I can so I don't waste discs.An average .avi file is about 700MB, so, if you copy those files into DVD, you can fit 6 movies, but if you burn .avi file into DVD format (.VOB), then you can fit only 1 movie and you have about 30 minutes of a free SPACE left.
700MB .avi (90 minutes movie) = ~3.5GB in .VOB format (90 minutes)I see... but can I SOMEHOW lower the quality of the .VOB file? We used to have one of the sonic suites or some sonic software and there were DIFFERENT quailty options. I never picked the lowest but they had like VHS quality. Can DVD shrink do this or what?There are many burning programs, which will shrink movie size, but it'll obviously lower the quality. Don't expect to fit 6 movies into one DVD and have those movies readable.

I have a Yamaha DGX-220 USB MIDI keyboard. It can play MIDI files on the computer through a USB cable. However, doing so requires that you change a registry value, so that instead of the MIDI PLAYING through the computers speakers, it plays through the keyboard's speakers. The only reason it's done via the registry is because Vista lacks the MIDI settings for the keyboard.

Now the problem is, even with EVERYTHING set up properly, it plays the wrong instruments. Instead of playing drums, it will play the piano. Which to me, sounds ******* annoying!

So far I have:

• Transferred the file to the keyboard. Didn't work. In fact, now it's stuck there!
• Changed USB ports. No SOUND. Then I realized the external clock wasn't set. Changed settings, and it still does the same thing.
• Different USB cable. Same thing as number two.

I am asking if you have a webcam? I do. I got it in a store for $20. I was looking for a good deal and got a Microsoft VX 700 Webcam so I can contact friends with Video EMAILS so people who didn't SEE me in a long time like my old teachers (I am still in school, not even college) can see how I changed.Who doesn't have a Cam these days.

I tried one of these just recently because I was desperate to watch a football game. It was a site offering sports for a little over $20.00.

When I went to download the necessary software (or whatever it was I had to download, I'm not a computer person) my antivirus program would not let me download it, as it contained content that could harm my computer.

Lucky for me, I had bought this through PayPal and immediately applied for a refund, which I received shortly thereafter.
If I had bought it in any other way I would have been out of the money.

Computer will not power on when pwr switch is PRESSED. Bestec Model ATX-250-12E power supply failed (found capacitor burned off printed circuit board after removing). Replaced with 500w CoolMax M-500B. Emachine Model T2984, OS Windows XP Home, CPU Intel CELERON 2.93GH, 512mb ram, mother board Intel D845GVSR. Downloaded mother board manual and checked connections. Reseated RAM chip and all PCI boards. No fans, lights, mouse or keyboard OPERATE. LED on mother board lights. Suspect machine is in suspend state (S1 or S3). Removed battery and left out 4 hours to discharge CMOS. Any suggestions?

Dell inspiron 1525 computer and charger gets hot ?
i have a just over 1 year old Dell inspiron 1525 which is beginning to play up.

A few months ago the laptop was overheating and switching itself off. I purchased a usb FAN cooler and this appeared to do the job until recently.

The charger stopped working and when i felt it it was very hot.

I bought a replacement charger and this overheated and stopped working after about a week!

I plugged a colleagues charger in and the LIGHT on the charger switched off when it was plugged in.

Does anybody have an idea of what the problem might be and how easy it is to have rectified.How old is the battery ? ?
^They don't last much more than 4 YEARS tops...Battery is about 1 1/2 yearss old..


Someone suggested to me that changing the battery would solve the problem???If the battery is made by Sony, there is a recall. Find out here:

I hope this is the correct place to post this issue. I have already looked on the FORUM to see if there is another issue similar to mine, but could not find any.


I was using a CD-R, which is not rewritable, and has 700 MBS. Over 600 MBs of data was already on the disc. I was writing a little over 30 MBs onto the disc (WordPad documents, and I was not using any program to do this process.), and everything was going well. The disc ejected, I clicked finish, and only the documents that I just wrote/placed on the disc, appeared. The previous documents are not showing...Sometimes this happens when the disc is so full, so I ejected the disc, and put it back into the pc, but unfortunately with the same outcome. I CHECKED the disc properties and was told: 33.2 MB Free Space, and 13.9 Used Space exists.

To me, it SEEMS, that the data is there, but just not registering. I stopped using this dic, and placed the rest of my data on another cd with no problems. I guess I should also mention that my pc uses Window XP.

About 2 days ago my computer just started to restart out of no where. Just TODAY it started that my computer began to get very very slow. So, I went to uninstall some things. I would like to build a motivation system for my grand children. It would need a transmitter receiver with voice outputs installed by myself. The transmitter would call out a number from 1-2, or 3. Each child would have a number. the number called would be followed by a color Red, Blue, or yellow pad with a transmitter to send signal to receiver. A timer would START when the color was called. When the player reaches the color a 2ND color is called. The player runs to that color, then the 3rd color is called out, when the 3rd color is touched, time displays time and then the 2nd player listens for there number to be called. The transmitter would randomly call players numbers and COLORS. Is there anyone who can help me to get started designing this game. THANKS

Help I have a HP pavilion 532w it is 2 years OLD. have sent it back to hp 2 times thay say nothing is wrong with the pc, but when i start it, it boots to desktop and then the monitor goes off, but HD light is still on, have to hold power button to shut it down. have set it not to go in to stand by, but that is what it appers to do but, and want come out of it , have USED other power cords and monitors. even TAKEN it some where else to hook it up. same thing. thanksYou didn't say how long you see the desktop before it goes blank, but I'm assuming it's immediately. I have seen that happen when the resolution is set to high for the monitor. Can you boot into safe mode? If you can try lowering the screen resolution.

have a problem with my HP desktop PC, problems began three days AGO and when I start the computer, it starts and everything is working correctly but the signal is not sent to the screen, the screen is OK I'm using right now, I thought that maybe it is wrong the video card and got the loan from another computer but did not solve the problem, I need help and want to say thank you in advance, I will say that the video card on my pc built up on the board.

I have an Xbox 360 in my room and the only way to get ONLINE is by bridging my wi-fi connection with the xbox. So i do that, it works for awhile, but suddenly, my wi-fi wont FULLY connect. It will connect to the modem in my basement but it will soon lose the connection and it will continue to do this. So i have to unbridge them, and once i do, it works fine. Its a Linksys and i want to know why this is HAPPENING and is there a way to fix it so it doesnt do this again. The router is a linksys, my xbox is two FLOORS above where the router is

One of the books I have is by Micheal Myers for to 604 exams but I was wondering if there was something ELSE out there and also I was wondering if the the 701, 702 exams are any different the the 601 to 604's.

I am PLANNING to take my cert exam at the end of November.

Which power state do you prefer when using standby or HIBERNATION? S0, S1, S2, S3, S4, or S5

I realize that using a higher power state like S4 or S5 would save money, but when considering thermal expansion/contraction it seems that S1 or S2 would prolong the life of your motherboard and/or components, aiding in the prevention of chips and SOLDER joints cracking, and other STUFF...

Money is not really an issue to me so I would use S1 or S2.

edit: I suspect that laptop users would prefer anything from S3 - S5, considering that battery life/power CONSERVATION is a concern.
