Solve : Does anyone know if watching Sports Events on Internet from Paid websites are Go?

Answer»

I was wondering since NFL Season is just round the CORNER again, does anyone know if watching NFL Games Live on the Internet is Good for the $$$ to pay for it. I have 2 websites that offer NFL Games one taht features ESPN for Monday Night Games, and another that can view all of the 256 NFL Regular Season Games. Here is the 1st link to the one that offers ESPN and cost 444.95 one-time fee only http://www.watchtvonpc.tv/Watch_TV_on_PC.html

The other is: http://www.sportstvlive.us/index.htm this one cost $21.95 for 1 year. Does anyone know if both or either one is reliable or are using either or both of these websites to view sports? If I were you, I would call my cable/satellite provider first and ask how much it would cost to purchase the appropriate channels for this...if they are available. I don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't possibly imagine paying that much money.Quote

MD507 must be the richest person on this BOARD...OMG!The words Internet, reliable and live TV just don't seem to fit into my head comfortably.

Like CBMatt said, try you local cable company. Probably a better deal with more then just sports channels and more reliable. I prefer sports center. I have a few teams I like but surely wouldn't pay that much to see them on TV, especially for a regular season game. That's just me. If you have that sort of disposable income.....The price is not $444.95 but $44.95 sorry Only $44.95 for one-time fee, not $444.95 Quote from: MD507 on August 08, 2008, 07:41:04 PM

Still kinda priceylet's see $44.95 one-time fee for 12,000 channels, and cable cost $35.00 a month or more that is $420 a year, for 5 years that is $2,100.00 and all I pay is $44.95 for 1 time and nothing else again. Okay, $44.95 makes a lot more sense. I still find that a bit pricey as well, but I also don't like sports. However, if this was an indie-film package, I might not think of it as being so expensive.

Now, with that said...I would definitely much rather pay $45 once than pay $22 for just a year. I looked for reviews of these sites and only found one for WatchTVOnPC and it said positive things, but it had very few details (no mention of quality or availability of shows/programs). I found no reviews for SportsTVLive. Also, most sites say that WatchTVOnPC is free, and only a couple of months ago, SportsTVLive was $6. Also, neither site looks very professional and their FAQ pages are oddly similar. So, the verdict is...I don't know...the sites sound shady to me. It's your decision, but I personally wouldn't trust them.

UPDATE: You may want to take a look at this forum thread that I just found:

UPDATE 2: It looks like this free site I saw mention of is actually a different WatchTVOnPC. And unfortunately, I am not permitted to post these links, as it is against the forum policies.

It looks to me like the sites you found are just scams. From what little info I found, they apparently just send you to free sites once you fork over your money.I tried one of these just recently because I was desperate to watch a football game. It was a site offering sports for a little over $20.00.

When I went to download the necessary software (or whatever it was I had to download, I'm not a COMPUTER person) my antivirus program would not let me download it, as it contained content that could harm my computer.

Lucky for me, I had bought this through PayPal and immediately applied for a refund, which I received shortly thereafter.
If I had bought it in any other way I would have been out of the money.Quote from: bbtmhmr on October 25, 2009, 08:15:38 AM

Let that be a warning to everyone else, you pay them, yet they still want to get more money out of you. Their idea is probably get you infected with a keylogger and when you log in to paypal, they got your money.
