Answer» Please NEED help ASAP, going nuts. My mom recently gave me her older laptop when she got a new ONE. It has always worked great. Today for some reason the touchpad simply stopped working. all I can use is the stylus. Can't figure it out. don't know how it happened. no help in help and support. It is a Averatec c3500 laptop. Anyone know how to fix this??? Please help, me going nuts!!!!!!!!!Some laptops have a small key to turn the touchpad on/off... Consult the manual.on my laptop there is a configuration menu for it. this is what i do, goto control panel and look for the mouse icon, click on it. a small box should APPEAR with a picture of the touchpad, click on it another box should appear with some different OPTIONS, if you click on device select there should be some options about enabling and disabling the touchpad. i have a different laptop than you so it might not work, but its worth a try hope this helps
