Solve : external speakers? |

Answer» I just hooked up external speakers to my HP zv5000 laptop and I cannot get them to work, I am not getting any sound ALTHOUGH the power is on and I have them plugged in correctly as far as I can tell. The speaker are Logitech X-140. Any help will be greatly appreciated.Have you installed the correct driver for your sound card?Please forgive my ignorance, I have no idea what that means. What or where is the driver, and what is a sound card?Okay. OPEN up device manager (start - run - devmgmt.msc) and click on SOUND - VIDEO & GAME CONTROLLERS. Your sound device will be listed. WRITE down the make & model, then go to the web site of the MANUFACTURER and download the correct driver for that card.
