Answer» लेखिका और उनके पिता के बीच वैचारिक भिन्नता थी। जिसके कारण ये टकराहट पैदा होती थीं । लेखिका के पिता शक्की स्वभाव के थे इस कारण भी लेखिका उन पर भन्ना जाती थीं । उनके पिता लेखिका को घर की चहारदीवारी में रखकर देश और समाज के प्रति जागरूक तो बनाना चाहते थे, किन्तु एक निश्चित सीमा तक । वे नहीं चाहते थे कि आन्दोलनों में भाग ले, हड़ताल कराए, भाषणबाजी करें, लड़कों के साथ सड़क पर घूमे। शीला अग्रवाल के प्रभाव में आकर लेखिका और भी निडर हो गयीं और वो सब कार्य करती जो पिता को पसन्द नहीं था। इसलिए पिता पुत्री में आए दिन वैचारिक टकराहट होती थीं। पिता की इच्छा के विरुद्ध कथाकार राजेन्द्र यादव से शादी की तब भी उनके विचार टकराए थे। |

Answer» महानगरों में रहनेवाले लोग एकांकी जीवन जीना पसंद करते हैं। जीवन में सबकुछ पाने की चाह उन्हें इतना व्यस्त रखती है कि आसपड़ोस में क्या हुआ, इसकी कोई जानकारी नहीं रखते । फ्लेटों में रहनेवाला मनुष्य खुद को चारदीवारी के बीच कैद कर लेता है, दीवारों के उस पार क्या हो रहा है इसकी भी उसे खबर नहीं होती। परिणामस्वरूप मनुष्य अपने में ही सीमटता चला जा रहा है। शहर में रहनेवाले हर मनुष्य की यही दशा है अतः यहाँ के लोग पड़ोस कल्चर से वंचित रह जाते हैं। |

Answer» लेखिका के पिताजी रसोईघर को भटियारखाना कहते थे, उनके अनुसार रसोई तक लड़की को सीमित कर देना, उसकी प्रतिभा को कुंठित कर देना है, जिसमें रहकर अपनी प्रतिभा को खत्म कर देना है। पिताजी नहीं चाहते थे कि लेखिका रसोई तक सीमित रहे । यदि वह रसोई में काम करेगी तो अपनी प्रतिभा संवारने का अवकाश नहीं मिलेगा। रसोई वह स्थल है जहाँ भट्टी सुलगती रहती है और किसी-न-किसी के लिए कुछ-न-कुछ बनता रहता है। अत: पिताजी अपनी बेटी को भट्टी में झोंकना नहीं चाहते थे। वे चाहते थे कि मन्नू आम स्त्री से भिन्न होकर अपने व्यक्तित्व का विकास करे, अपनी अलग पहचान बनाए । |
