HERE IS THE ANSWER....
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!

2.

Chemistry...Doubt....Please Help me out.

Answer»

HELLO USER,

Here's your answer:

REACTION: H₂ + Cl₂ ----> 2HCl

Volume ratio = 1 : 1 : 2
(1 volume of H₂, 1 volume of Cl₂ and 2 VOLUMES of HCl)

Given that, 4cm³ of Hydrogen is unreacted.

So, volume of reacted mixture = (36 - 4) cm³ = 32 cm³

Now, 1 volume of H₂ =

\frac{1}{2} \times 32 = 16cm^{3}

Again, 1 volume of Cl₂ =

\frac{1}{2} \times 32 = 16cm^{3}

ACTUAL volume of Hydrogen given at first = (16 + 4) cm³ = 20 cm³

Hence, original COMPOSITION of the mixture was, 20cm³ of Hydrogen and 16 cm³ of Chlorine.

Hope my answer is satisfactory...
THANKS!

Give reasons: iron nail kept the water containing some soap does not rust

Answer»

An iron nail RUSTS when it comes in contact with water and moisture but when it is kept with soap MAYBE some REACTIONS take place between the basic elements found in the soap and the iron(acid). So when both acid and BASE react they are neutral. therefore no reaction of rusting TAKES place.

17.

What are inter particle forces? How it is related to three states of matter?

Answer»

The inter particle FORCES are the forces between the particle of a body.
In three states it is RELATED:-
In solid- the inter particle force is more so it is rigid and has definite SHAPE.
in liquid- the force is less as compared to solid and it is not rigid and does not have definite shape.
in GAS- the force is least as compared to solids and liquid and it is not rigid and does not have definite shape ,its molecules are free to move

Find the number of molecules and number of atoms in 5 mole O2 molecules

Answer»

No. of MOLECULES in 5 moles O2 molecules = 5 moles = 3.011 x 10^24 molecules

1 mole = 6.022 x 10^23
5 moles = 30.11 x 10^23 = 3.011 x 10^24

1 O2 molecule = 2 O ATOMS

3.011 x 10^24 O2 molecules

= 2 x 3.011 x 10^24 atoms
= 6.022 x 10^24

22.

explain the similarity and difference in two events namely adding naoh to water and adding cao to water ?? dont copy form net

Answer»

On ADDITION of water to naoh,it BREAKS down unto na+ and oh- ions...the reaction is highly exothermic....On the other hand CAO reacts with water to form caoh2.This reaction is ALSO exothermic and the water in the mixture of reactants evaporate.
Thank you.

23.

Why does the temperature of a substance remain constant during its melting or boiling point?

Answer»

The HEAT is used to break the bonds between the ice molecules as they turn into a liquid PHASE. Since the average kinetic ENERGY of the molecules does not change at the moment of melting, the temperature of the molecules does not change. HENCE the temperature remains constant during melting or BOILING point.

What happens when zinc granules are added to sulphuric acid?

Answer»

Observation 1.when dilute sulphuric acid is poured on zinc granules then zinc sulphate is formed along with the evolution of gas zinc is more REACTIVE than hydrogen so displaced it from sulphuric acid.

observation 2.The gas evolved is hydrogen.we can test its presence by BRINGING a BURNING candle near the mouth of the test tube and hearing for a popping SOUND only hydrogen gas burns with a POP sound.

26.

The vapour density of volatile chloride of metal is 59.58 equal at most of the metal is 24 the atomic mass of element will be

Answer»

HEYA----

Given Vapour Density ( VD ) = 59.5

i.e. Molecular Weight = ( VD *2 ) = 119

Now, No of max Cl atoms that the compound can have is TWO because three exceeds the given molecular weight of the compound

i.e. Metallic Component is = 119 - 71 = 48

also the equivalent weight of the METAL is given as 24 and there are 2 CHLORINE atoms in the compound which implies that in this case

Mol.wt = 2 * Eq.wt = 24*2 = 48…….

So 48 is the atomic mass of the metal( which happens to be Cadmium )……

What happens when carbondioxide is passed through slaked lime? write the balanced chemical equation. Write the type of reaction that occurred

Answer»

When CO2 is PASSED through Slaked lime we will observe a MILKY solution. This is due to the insoluble suspension of calcium carbonate formed:
Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(G) → CACO3(s) + H2O(l).
The reaction INVOLVED is percipitation reaction

Na2S2O3.5H2O equivalent mass in Na2S2O3 in the reaction is 2Na2S2O3+ I2gives Na2S4O6 + 2Na reactuonI

Answer»

The equivalent weight of oxidising or reducing agent is = molecular weight / NUMBER of electron PER MOLE transfer during the REACTION.
In above MENTIONED reaction there is transfer of 2 electrons per 2 moles of Na2S2O3 as follows :
2S2O32- → S4O62- + 2e-
So the equivalent weight of Na2S2O3 is same as molecular weight = 158.11 g mol-1

What is the difference between boiling point and evaporation

Answer»

Boiling point has fixed point for ex-water at 100°c WHEREAS evaporation TAKES at random.
evaporation always cause cooling
boiling not cause cooling.
boiling occurs in at the bottom in the FORM of bubbles whereas evaporation takes PLACE only on SURFACE.

46.

Please answer the question given in attachment with explanation.

Answer»

Heya @User

here, ANSWER is option (c)

explanation :-

( n ) = ULTIMATE

(n- 1 ) = penultimate

( n-2) = Anti -penutimate

The group of elements in which the differentiating electrons enter the anti-penultimate shell of atoms are called F-block elements

=max capacity of F orbitals is 14,
so given there 1-14

*sub-shells being filled up in each period

1st period = 1s
2nd period = 2s 2p
3rd period = 3s 3p
4th period = 4s 3D 4p
5th period =5s 4d 5p
6th period =6s 4f 5d 6p
7th period = 7s 5f 6d 7p

so, the option c satisfies this order

means, when n=6 .ie, 6th period-
so value of f= (n-2) =4f
value of d = (n-1) = 5d

f-block elements always end with full filled s-orbital
