Answer» On ADDITION of water to naoh,it BREAKS down unto na+ and oh- ions...the reaction is highly exothermic....On the other hand CAO reacts with water to form caoh2.This reaction is ALSO exothermic and the water in the mixture of reactants evaporate. Thank you.
