A balloon collapses when air is removed from it, why? |
Answer» Answer: When the air is removed from a balloon, the balloon collapses because air exerts pressure on the walls of the balloon. ... Also, when the air is removed from the balloon, the pressure INSIDE the balloon will be much less than the ATMOSPHERIC pressure outside and thus the balloon collapses. |

A bullet of mass 50 g is fired from below into the bob of mass 450 g of a long simple pendulum as shown in figure. The bullet remains inside the bob and the bob rises through a height of 1.8 m. Find the speed of the bullet. Take g = 10 m/s2HOW CAN WE APPLY CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM IN THIS QUESTION DURING THE COLLISON AS AN EXTERNAL FORCE ( DUE TO GRAVITY) IS ALSO ACTING ? |
Answer» Explanation: Let the speed of the bullet be V. Let the common velocity of the bullet and the bob, after the bullet is EMBEDDED into the bob, is V. By the principle of conservation of the LINEAR momentum, V=0.45kg+0.05kg(0.05kg)v=10v The string becomes loose and the bob will go up with an ACCELERATION of g=9.8m/s2. As it comes to rest at a height of 1.8 m, using the EQUATION v2=u2+2ax, 1.8m=2×10m/s2(v/10)2 or v=60m/s. |

a gun fires a bullet horizontally from a height of 20m velicity of the bullet is 900m/s. how long does the bullet stay in air. |
Answer» Explanation: CORRECT option is A -0.25 m s−1 Initial momentum of the system Pi=0 Given: Mbullet=0.02 KG Vbullet=100 m/s Mgun=8 kg Let the RECOIL velocity of gun be V. Applying the conservation of LINEAR momentum : Pf=Pi Or MgunV+MbulletVbullet=0 Or 8V+0.02×100=0 ⟹ V=−0.25 m/s |

An iron sphere of mass 10 kg is dropped from a height of 80 cm, if ‘g’ = 10 m / s2. Calculate the momentum transferred to the ground by the body. |
Answer» Here, initial velocity of sphere, u=0 Distance TRAVELLED, s=80cm=0.8m Acceleration of sphere, a=10ms−2 Final velocity of sphere when it just reaches the GROUND can be CALCULATED using v2−u2=2as ∴v2−0=2×10×0.8=16 or v=16=4ms−1. Momentum of the sphere just before it touches the ground =mv=10×4=40kgms−1 |

A real image formed by a concave mirror is at a distance of 20 cm from it. The focal length of the concave mirror is 10 cm. Find out the distance of the object from the concave mirror.pls ans asapirrelavant will be reported! |
Answer» SolutionGiven: Focal length of CONCAVE mirror, F = -20 cm Distance of object from the mirror, U = -10 cm use formula, 1/v + 1/u = 1/f or, 1/v = 1/f - 1/u or, 1/v = 1/-20 - 1/-10 or, 1/v = -1/20 + 1/10 = 1/20 or, v = +20cm hence, IMAGE position is the 20cm right side from the pole of the concave mirror as SHOWN in the diagram. IF THE RESISTANCE IN A CIRCUIT STAYS THE SAME,WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CURRENT AS THE VOLTAGE DECREASES? |
Answer» Answer: This EQUATION, i = v/r, tells us that the current, i, flowing through a circuit is DIRECTLY proportional to the voltage, v, and INVERSELY proportional to the RESISTANCE, r. In other WORDS, if we increase the voltage, then the current will increase. But, if we increase the resistance, then the current will decrease. |

Write merits and demerits of hydroelectric energy |
Answer» Answer: Among these sources, HYDROELECTRICITY is considered to be CLEAN and an EFFICIENT source of energy for long term use. The most significant disadvantage of CONVENTIONAL sources of energy is that they tend to pollute the environment. They are also very limited and finite in terms of quantity available for extraction. |

QUESTION:-How to complete physics 1 chapter in one day?NO SPAM |
Answer» If you are asking about revision then yes. This isn't easy being a long process- Start working long time before and by this I mean when the chapter is being taught to you, hear with CONCENTRATION in class and try to make the most out of it be it your school or your tution. Generally people avoid school lectures but I FEEL that shouldn't. Practice the numericals from class notes they can help clear concept and doe extra questions related to it. Gradually take your level up. Mark the important points, derivations and important questions from the material you have practices and gone through and compress them into a few white A4 sheets or in a separate register neatly. Write important formulas at the end of the chapter collectively. A important thing is that not all formulas are to be learnt. Only a few are the basic formulas which when learn along with UNDERSTANDING the concept you will be able to make formulas for other things. Like if you know the formula for magnetic field due to a finite wire then you can make formulas for any wire be it infinite or semi infinite. Also add the tables in the Ncert given at the back of each chapter containing a few constants etc their VALUES and dimensions in your notes they can be helpful. I prefer loose sheets for the notes because you can always add up questions or points. When you have this kind of compressed collection of hand written (your handwriting) notes and questions (which shall be self explanatory) you can actually revise Physics very quickly. This way you can concentrate on your weak areas and get more time for solving papers before exams The problem arises when you have not WORKED hard from the beginning and you still wish to be lazy. If you haven't already started taking these compressed notes do it now. They will be handy for revision. You will be able to revise quickly with them and save a lot of time at the last moment. please mark me brain mark list |

A body moves along an st. line with an acceleration of 3 ms for 2 seconds and then with an acceleration of 4 ms-2 for 3 seconds. What is his average acceleration? |
Answer» ANSWER.... Given Body moves with ACCELERATION of 3m/ s for 2 seconds. and,Body moves with acceleration of 4m/s for 3 seconds. t 2 seconds. t 3 seconds. Erplanation : TOTAL time = 2 +3 = 5 seconds. From the average acceleration formula. Let the acceleration be a'.Let the acceleration be a' a't at + a"t?. a'(5) = 3 X 2 + 4 x3 a= 6+12 5 a= 3.6 a=3.6m/s| So, average acceleration of body is 3.6 m/s2 |

the work done is 100% when the applied force isacting at angle theta in the direction of displacement, what would be angle of applied force withdisplacement when work done is 50% ? |
Answer» Explanation: When a BODY is whirled in a circle the work done is zero because in CIRCULAR motion displacement is always perpendicular to the applied force. ALSO when a body moves along a circular path then the CENTRIPETAL force ACTS along the radius of the circle and is at right angle to the motion of the body .Thus work done by centripetal force is zero when the radial position does not change i.e when an object moves at angle of 90 degree with the direction of force. Work done = F.x Cosθ = F.xCos 90 = 0 (Since Cos 90 = 0) |
