The distance between Delhi and Agra is 200 km. A train travels the first 100 km at a Speed of 50 km/h. How fast must the train travel the next 100 km, so as to get average 70 Km/h for the whole journey

Answer»

Average SPEED = Total DISTANCE travelled / Total time taken
so, 70 = 200 / Total time taken
and, Total time taken = 200 / 70 = 2.85 hours......(1)
For the first part of the journey:
speed = 50km/h
distance = 100km
time = ?
speed = distance travelled / time taken
so, 50 = 100 / time taken
and, time taken = 100/50 = 2 hours........(2)
For the second part of the journey:
speed = x km/h (supposed)
distance = 100 km
time = ?
speed = distance travelled / time taken
so, x = 100 / time taken
and, time taken = 100/x .......(3)
Now, adding equations (2) and (3) , we get the total time taken for the ENTIRE trip:
total time taken = 2+ 100/x.....(4)
we ALREADY know that the total time taken for the trip is 2.85 hours from equation (1). So, comparing equations (4) and (1) , we get:
2+ 100/x = 2.85
100/x = 2.85 - 2
100/x = 0.85
x = 0.85*100
x = 85 km/h
Thus, the train should travel the next 100 km distance at a speed of 85 km/h.

A body moves from rest with uniform acceleration and travels 270 m in 3 s. Find the velocity of the body at 10 seconds after the startAlso show the process

Answer»

Hii...
Here is your answer..

SOLUTION:-
UNIFORM Acceleration=0(as he STARTS from rest)
Distance=270m
Time=3sec
Acceleration=?

We'll FIND it by using equation,that is:-
=  > s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}  \\  =  > 270= 0 \times 3 +  \frac{1}{2} \times a \times  {(3)}^{2}  \\  =  > 270 = 0  \times \frac{1}{2}  \times a \times 9
=  > a =  \frac{270 \times 2}{9}  \\  =  > a =  \frac{540}{9}
=  > a = 60m
Now,
Acceleration=60m/s
Final velocity after 10 sec=
=  > a =  \frac{(v - u)}{t}  \\  =  > 60 =  \frac{(v - 0)}{10}
=  > v = 60 \times 10 \\  =  > v = 600
So,final velocity after 10 sec is 600m

Hope it helps uh...✌️✌️✌️

A car travels from point A to point B at constant speed of 50 km/h . On return journey along the same path, it travels at a constant of 40 km/h. Find its distance travelled, displacement and average sped

Answer»

Let the distance between A and B be x
SPEED ¹ = 50KMPH
THEREFORE time TAKEN = x/50

return journey
speed ²=40kmph
time taken = x/40

total distance travelled =x+x=2x km
displacement =0
average speed = total distance/total time
= 2x/(x/50+x/40)
= 2x÷[ x(40+50)/200]
= 2*200/90
= 45 kmph

Cheetah is the fastest land animal and it can achieve a peak velocity of 100 km per hour upto distance is less than 500 m if the Cheetah sports his Prey at a distance of 100 M what is the minimum time it will take to get its prey

Answer»

Hey there!

It's GIVEN,

A cheetah is the fastest land animal and it can achieve a PEAK velocity of 100 km per hour up to DISTANCES less less than 500 metres.

We can write 100 km as 27.78 m/s.   [100x1000/60x60]

We know,

Formula to calculate speed:

Speed (v) = Ditance/time (d/t)

∴ Time = Distance/Speed (d/v)

           = 100/27.78

           = 3.6 s

∴ The minimum time it will TAKE to get it's prey is 3.6 second.

Hope it helps You!

two bodies are thrown vertically upwards with a initial velocity is in the ratio 2 is to 3 ratio of maximum height attained will be

Answer»

If a body is thrown UPWARD with velocity V then the body get maximum height
H=V^2÷(2g)
where , G is the acceleration due to gravity.
as g is constant , the maximum height is proportional to V^2
let H(1)= maximum height of the 1st body
H(2)= maximum height of the 2nd body
V(1)= velocity of the 1st body
V(2)= velocity of 2nd body

then the ratio of maximum height is,
H(1)/H(2) = {V(1)^2}/V(2)^2}
= (2^2)/(3^2)
=4/9

so, H(1) : H(2)= 4 : 9
