1.

two point electric chargea of unknown magnitude nd sign are placed a distance apartb. The electric field intensity is 0 at a point not between the charges but on the line joining them.write 2 essential conditions for this to happen

Answer»

This will happen only if the NATURE of charges are opposite and both the charges are different in their magnitudes...

If charges are like , then Electeic will never be cancel out as E direct in the same direction...it actually gets added up...E ( Electeic field) will be zero only if charges have opposite nature due to opposite nature , Direction of E will be opposite to each other...

and Charges will not be of EQUAL magnitude...If charges are equal in magnitude then E will be non zero...SEE snap
