There is a wisdom of the head :

అనగా మన మెదడు తార్కిక మరియు హేతుబద్ధమైన నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవడంలో దారి చూపిస్తుంది. అనగా మనం ఒక విషయమును చెయ్యడం చేయకపోవడం అనే విషయాన్ని మన మెదడు యొక్క నిర్ణయానికి వదిలితే, మన మెదడు ఆ పని చెయ్యడం వాళ్ళ వచ్చే లాభాలు, నష్టాలు ఇంకా ఎన్నో విషయాలను పరిగణిస్తూ చివరిగా ఒక నిర్ణయానికి వస్తుంది. ఇందులో భావోద్వేగాలకు తావులేదు.

పెద్దవాళ్ళు ఆశీర్వదించేటప్పుడు బుద్ధిని, జ్ఞానాన్ని ప్రసాదించమని కోరుతారు భగవంతుడిని. జ్ఞానాన్ని మించిన ఆయుధం లేదు. దానితో జయించలేని పని ఈ సృష్టిలో లేదు. అయితే దానిని మంచి పనికి, లోక కల్యాణానికి, ఇతరులకు హాని కలుగకుండా వాడితే ఆ జ్ఞానమే మనల్ని ప్రగతి పథంలో నిలపెడుతుంది. ఆ జ్ఞానం హృదయం తో తీసుకున్నది ఐన సరే లేక మెదడుతో తీసుకున్నది ఐన సరే.

పుస్తకంలోనిది చదివి పరీక్షలో రాసి వచ్చి మర్చిపోతే అది జ్ఞానం కాదు. దాని వాళ్ళ మంచి మార్కులు వచ్చినా ప్రయోజనం లేదు. అలా కాక పుస్తకంలోనుంచిపెంచుకున్న జ్ఞానాన్ని ఉపయోగించి ప్రజలకు మేలుచేసే విధంగా ఎం చేసిన సరే దానికన్నా ఉత్తమమైనది ఇంకొకటి లేదు. అందుకే కదా అసలు విద్య అన్న విషయానికి అంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఉన్నది.
