Distinguish between diversity and inequality

Answer»

What is the difference between inequality

5 ANSWERS

Diversity means having a heterogeneous population with different preferences, different backgrounds, different skills. Diversity is good for an economy, creating more opportunities to exploit comparative advantages.

Inequality means having a heterogeneous set of economic outcomes, like income, wealth, or consumption. If you have a diverse population, that will naturally engender some inequality. But too much inequality will cause problems. In particular, inequality of wealth often leads some people to effectively have more rights and privileges than other

Diversity refers specifically to the AMOUNT of difference found within a group, whether it’s a group of people or a bowl of jellybeans or a stock portfolio.

A group of people can be diverse or not diverse, by any number of criteria (race, gender, class, religion, sexual orientation, DISABILITY, and many others), but this has no bearing on whether the people in that group are all treated well.

Equality* means that everyone in a group are treated alike. Diversity in no WAY guarantees equality.

*(Many believe that equality shouldn’t be a society’s goal. While equality means that everyone in a group is treated alike, equity

They have little to do with each other.

Diversity can be described in terms of the degree to which a whole is constituted by varying elements. For example, a jar filled with many different colors of marbles would be considered more diverse than would a jar filled with one color of marbles. A population of people of various races, ETHNICITIES, religions, skintones, economic classes, etc. would be considered diverse.

Inequality can be described in terms of the degree of difference between things (usually [but not always] along a particular scale, like wealth, privilege, shade of color, etc.). There is greater inequality between a black marble and a white marble than between two marbles of different shades of grey. There is greater income inequality between a POOR person and a rich person than between two middle-class people. In a society that privileges people according to skintone, there is greater inequality between a dark person and a light person than between two medium-toned people.

There can be great diversity in a population with little inequality or there can be great diversity in a population with a good deal of inequality. There can be little diversity in a population with little or much inequality. They don’t necessarily have anything to do with each other.

Write letter to the forest officer about increase bird population

Answer»

House No‐ U/03
G Block
Kasturi Nagar
Mysore ‐37

30 June 2011

The Director
NGO Bird Links Society
Bangalore
Karnataka

Sir

Subject: Diminishing number of birds

With deep regret I wish to bring to your kind notice about the decrease in the population of birds in Mysore. Mysore is known to have more than 500 species of birds but many of them are on the verge of extinction.

According to the reports from the recent seminar held on Conservation of Birds, there was a time, when a number of birds would flock to the banks of river Kaveri, Bandipur wild life sanctuary and forested CANOPY in Mysore. These numbers have come crashing down in the recent years.

The main REASONS are rampant construction of BUILDINGS, bridges and flyovers, cutting of forests and of course environmental POLLUTION. Many species have become endangered. It is time the people of Mysore were made aware of this grave situation by conducting seminars and workshops.

The locals should be given incentives for preserving the birds. Sanction for the construction of buildings, malls, bridges ands so on should be given only after proper evaluation of the environmental impact of those constructions over the life of species there. Let’s not forget that birds are an important link in the food chain.

I request the government, ENVIRONMENTALISTS and the society to show their concern before it is too late.

Thanking You
Yours faithfully

3366.

Kelsons pure theory of law

Answer»

Your answer is:
Pure Theory of Law (GERMAN: Reine Rechtslehre) is a book by legal theorist HANS Kelsen, first published in 1934 and in a greatly expanded "second edition" (effectively a new book) in 1960. The second edition appeared in English translation in 1967, as Pure Theory of Law,[1] the first edition in English translation in 1992, as Introduction to the Problems of Legal Theory. The theory proposed in this book has probably been the most influential theory of law produced during the 20th century. It is, at the LEAST, one of the high POINTS of modernist legal theory.

Easy essay of women safety

Answer»

Hey mate here is your answer》》

=》Women were always treated unequal to men from all the generation.. they are not allowed to go out at night, wear western dresses and etc..

=》In some places they are treated like slaves in our own country , such a shame! The goverment and everyone is trying to develope the country but just think do you want to develope a country where women are raped, related unequally , killed and tortured ?

=》ALL GENDERS ARE EQUAL! Both the genders have their rights and in a country like India where women's like Rani Lakshmi , Razia and etc have shown their power and patriotism toward their country is no less than a man doing it..?

=》If you want the country to developed then the first step should be safety for girls, 40% of India's population is under the age of 20 and it's every Indian responsibility to provide safety to women, " If there is no girl then there is no child" the population is not going to increase if there is no women. .

=》"Don't tell you girls what to wear, tell you boys not to stare " this is something which really has to be understood for the men in our country, every girl has her own dressing style and rights to be wear what ever she wants, you can't force girls to wear churidar, sare all the time..

=》The capital of India, Delhi was very popular for its monuments, culture and HISTORY is carried THOUGH out these years but I think it's better now to call it a "Rape Capital " every SECOND a girl gets raped! It's such a shame for us that we are unable to PROTECT your women, there are men throwing acid on girls.. these men who carry such dirty minds and do such acts should be hanged !

=》Why only this injustice to women?

=》Remember stereotype and discrimination starts from the house... and your making us( girls) feel every place on EARTH equal to hell!

"Don't try to change yourself girls for the cheap mind they have try changing their mind because we don't want the future generations to face this pain.

Peace and order are the key to rule of law. describe.

Answer»

Respect for the rule of law generates an enabling environment for achieving the purposes of the Charter. ... A strong rule of law, which protects human rights , helps prevent and mitigate violent crime and conflict by providing legitimate processes for the resolution of grievances and disincentives for crime and violence

The rule of law is key to COORDINATING PEACE operations, or peace-building activities in particular, in post-conflict regions (1). Its application describes a situation in which people respect the fundamental rights of others, offering greater stability to the society as a whole. The rule of law is normally understood to be an ideal that provides both justice and order as well as individual freedom and social stability. Usually, fundamental rules and institutions of the rule of law are specified in constitutional law, or otherwise, authoritatively interpreted according to constitutional procedures. The rule of law dictates that all persons obey the constitutional procedures and solve conflicts in accordance with law.

Given this function of what we call the rule of law, it is natural and indeed appropriate to see it as a guiding principle of peace-building activities. In doing so, however, we realize that there is a fundamental predicament regarding its application in war-torn society. In a disrupted society, it is rare and unrealistic to find a constitutional framework functioning authoritatively as a guiding principle. The lack of constitutional rules and institutions does not MERELY MEAN that the restoration of constitutional law is needed. Peace operations take PLACE where more or less any constitutional settings lack authority, failing to function as the foundation of the "culture of the rule of law."
