Describe an activity which provides the evidence for the motion of particles. |
| Answer» ONE of the activity which provides EVIDENCES for the motion of particles is brownian motion. Brownian motion is basically the random movement of pollen grains following a very uneven path, after COLLISIONS with the air molecules which are much smaller and much more FAST MOVING. | |

Bending of pencil why |
|
Answer» HEY user, here is your answer..........!!☺⤵⤵ , ⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵ ❗❗______________________________________❗❗☺⤵ :-) , The best way of learning anything is by visualising it.So a activity has mentioned for better explanation. ⤵ , Take the example in which you are looking down through the top surface of a glass of water, at a partly submerged pencil. Light beams reflected off the submerged part travel in a straight line to the surface of the water. But as they pass through the surface, they are bent away from the perpendicular.⤵⤵ That bending of the light fools your eye, making all the points on the submerged part of the pencil look a little closer to the surface than they actually are. And that makes the pencil look like it bends slightly where it enters the water. The only TIME light rays don't bend as they leave water is when they are perpendicular to the surface. If you were to look at the pencil through the side of the glass, the light reaching your eye would be perpendicular to the side of the glass, and the pencil would look straight. But you would probably notice that the submerged part of the pencil LOOKED a bit fatter than the part above water. That, Davis said, is because the curvature of the glass makes it act like a magnifying lens. The curved surface causes the light rays to bend slightly outward, like the spreading of a fan, as they pass through. That widens the image of the pencil that reaches your eye. It is the same ''magnifying lens'' phenomenon that makes things look fatter when viewed through a glass of water. In that CASE, the fattening EFFECT is doubled, because the beam of light widens both when it enters the water through a curved surface and when it leaves through the other side. ⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵⤵ ❗❗_________________❗❗☺ |

Explain and describe the construction and working of van de graff generator |
|
Answer» The Van de Graaff generator work on the basis of these priciple Discharging action of sharp points i.e., electric DISCHARGE takes place in air or gases readily at pointed conductors. If the charged conductor is brought into internal contact with a HOLLOW conductor , all of its charge transfers to the surface of the hollow conductor no matter how high the potential of the latter may be. CONSTRUCTION: M- a large spherical conducting shell is supported at a height several meters from the ground on an insulator column. B- an insulating belt wound around two pulleys P1 and P2, this belt is moving continuously by a driven motor at constant speed. C1,C2- SHARPLY pointed combs close to the belt near its bottom and top, C1 has GIVEN 10kV by a high-tension battery (HT) and termed as spray comb and C2 is connected to spherical shell and termed as collector comb. working The high electric field at the pointed end comb C1 ionises the air near them. The +ve charges in air are repelled and got deposited on the belt through a corona discharge. The charges are carried upto C2. A similar corona discharge takes place at C2 and the charges are finally transferred to the shell M. The charge spread over uniformly on the outer surface of M raising its potential to few million volts. Hope it helps you |

Does incresing the depth of ant chamber changes refrative power |
|
Answer» No.. refractive power depends on the medium. so it is not affected by HEIGHT or DEPTH of medium generally. however during very hot and cold days a mortgage is seen on roads and in air due to slight change in temperature of different layers of air particles. Refractive of a medium SLIGHTLY CHANGES with temperature. |

| 37. |
A body is thrown vertically upward with velocity u. The ratio of times at which it is at particular height h is 1:2. What is the maximum height reached by body above point of projection? |
|
Answer» Le H is the maximum height. LET h is the height above the ground at which both P.E and K.E are equal ∴ T e at the point p = K.E + P.E ⇒ K.E = mgH - mgh = mg [H - h] ∴ P.E / K.E = mgh/mg[HH] As K.E = P.E ∴ h / H - h = 1, H – h = 2h …(1) When the body is projected upwards with VELOCITY u it reaches a maximum height H ∴ H = u2/ 2g When the body is projected vertically upwards with double the velocity then it reaches a maximum height H1 ∴ H = (2u)2/2g = 4u2/2g = 4H………..(2) ∴ The ratio of P.E and K.E at the same point ‘P’ = P.E / K.E = mgh/mg[H1-h] ∴ P.E / K.E = h/4[2h]-h = 1/7 Or, 1:7 Hope this helps you buddy :) |

Weight = 1500 area = 500 then when is the pressure |
|
Answer» ACCORDING to the question, WIEGHT of the body = 1500 units. area = 500 SQUARE units. Now, we know the basic formula for CALCULATING Pressure i.e. Pressure is Force per unit area P = F / A; where P = Pressure on the object, F = Force, A = Area on which force acts. So, you may think the value of force isn't given. But the most important point is the weight is acting downwrads and creating the force vertically downwards. Thus Force = 1500 units. Area = 500. Therefore, Pressure = 1500 / 500 = 3 units. (Ans) |

Expain why the nails have a pointed end in one side |
|
Answer» The NAIL needs to be driven into something to be effective. To drive a nail into something, it must EXERT sufficient pressure on what it's trying to go into. Pressure is FORCE over AREA, so by having a point on one end, the area is minimized, so that LESS force is required to drive the nail in. |
