i will mark the brainlist for the first answer.Draw a neat labelled diagram of a thermos flask. How does it prevent transfer of heat by conduction, convection or radiation?

Answer»

When a hot substance is placed in a thermos flask, the heat going out gets REFLECTED due to the shining surface of the inner tube. HENCE,heat is radiated. Neither conduction nor convection of the heat occurs because of the vacuum. As a result,heat is not transferred to the outer cooler region and is retained inside for a long time. Still, a little heat is lost from around the lid and by a small amount of conduction through the glass. Therefore, the hot substance does not remain as hot after TWO and THREE hours.

5.

How find value of 1'(minute of arc or arcmin) in radian.

Answer»

RADIANS = 360°

=> π radians = 180°

1 Radian = 180° / π degrees

=> π / 180 radians = 1 degree

1 degree = 60 MINUTES

=> 1 minute = 1 degree / 60

=> 1 minute = π / 180 / 60

=> 1 minute = π / 10800 radians

=> 1 minute = 0.000290888 radians

=> 1 minute = 2.9 * 10⁻⁴ radians

What is meaning of in impulsive froce

Answer»

This force is called an IMPULSIVE force.The impulsive force is much stronger than any other force AVAILABLE at that point of time and acts on an object for a very short INTERVAL during COLLISION or EXPLOSION. It is defined as the rate of change of momentum. Impulse =mv-mu(momentum change)

Prove that second law of motion is the real law of motion

Answer»

Proof. When we can show that Newton’s first and third law are CONTAINED in the second law, then we can SAY that it is the real law of motion.
(i) First law is contained in second law: According to Newton’s second law of motion,

It means that there will be no ACCELERATION in the body if no external force is applied. This represents that a body at rest will remain at rest and a body in uniform motion will continue to MOVE along the same straight line in the absence of an external force. This CORRESPONDS to Newton’s first law of motion. So, first law of motion is contained in Second law of motion

• Why does your skin become colder? when a few drops of spirit on your palm using a droper.

Answer»

The molecules of methylated spirit get the energy they NEED from our hand, leaving the molecules of the hand with less energy and so colder. ... As the ether evaporates pump into the air BUBBLES it takes away heat energy from the tube, LOWERING its TEMPERATURE. Ice will start to form on the outside of the test tube.

Write common procedure of finding the specific heat of given solid.

Answer»

Procedure

Put TWO thermometer A and B in a beaker containing water and note their reading. Take one of them, say A to be STANDARD and find the CORRECTION to be applied to the other, say B.Put thermometer B in copper tube of hypsometer containing the power of given solid. Put sufficient water in hypsometer and place it on a burner.WEIGH the calorimeter with stirrer and lid over it by the physical balance. Record it.Fill about half of calorimeter with water at about temperature 5 to 8°C below room temperature. Now, weigh it again and record it.Heat the hypsometer about 10 minutes TILL the temperature of solid remains steady.Note the temperature of water in the calorimeter. Now, transfer the solid from hypsometer to the calorimeter quickly. Stir the contents and record the final temperature of the mixture.Remove the thermometer A from calorimeter and weigh the calorimeter with its contents and lid.

The potential energy of a spring is is always increases whether it compresses or extended .
Work done by external Force to compress or extend acts OPPOSITE to the spring force which is stored as potential energy.

(d) True :
When work done by external Force is negative then Mechanical energy of the system decreases when compared to zero / Positive work done on the system.

(e) False :
When a body is FALLING from some height ,then speed of body increases due to gravitational force, hence Kinetic energy increases.

(f) True
The SI unit of power is Watt.

29.

Explain the relation between the transfer of heat energy from our bodyto the object?

Answer»

Heat may be transferred by means of conduction, convection, or radiation. Conduction is the transfer of thermal ENERGY (heat in transfer) DUE to collisions between the molecules in the OBJECT. Collisions betweenadjacent ATOMS and moleculestransfer kinetic energy from the warmer to the cooler object.

6.022X10²³ number of N₂ molecules - Calculate the mass of it.

Answer»

Given conditions ⇒

Number of molecules = 6.022 × 10²³

Molar mass of the N₂ = 28 G/mole.

∵ No. of molecules = Mass/Molar mass × Avogadro's number.

∴ 6.022 × 10²³ = Mass/28 × 6.022 × 10²³

∴ Mass = 1 g.

HENCE, the mass of the Nitrogen gas CONTAINING 6.022 × 10²³ is 1 g.

35.

0.5 mole of N atoms - Calculate the mass of it.

Answer»

Answer ⇒ 3.011 × 10²³ atoms.

SOLUTION

No. of MOLES of Nitrogen atoms = 0.5

Avogadro's number = 6.022 × 10²³

Using the FORMULA,

No. of atoms = No. of moles × Avogadro's number.

∴ No. of atoms = 0.5 × 6.022 × 10²³

∴ No. of atoms = 3.011 × 10²³ atoms.

Hence, the number of the atoms in 0.5 MOLE of the N atoms is 3.011 × 10²³.

Hope it helps.

Classify Vinegar, as a homogeneous or heterogeneous mixture.Give reasons.

Answer»

Answer:

VINEGAR is a homogeneous solution

Explanation:

A heterogeneous mixture is SIMPLY any mixture that is not uniform in COMPOSITION - it's a non-uniform mixture of smaller constituent parts

heterogeneous mixture has components whose proportions VARY throughout the sample

A homogeneous mixture is a solution that has equal proportions of its components throughout any GIVEN sample

Vinegar is a homogeneous solution, because it is a completely uniform solution.

Vinegar is composed of water and acetic acid, and acetic acid is soluble in water.

Describe an activity which provides the evidence for - Attraction between particles.

Answer»

Hello.

ACTIVITY to show evidence for attraction between PARTICLES is shown below:

1. TAKE a Nail Piece and a piece of cotton.

2. Try to break them.

Observations ⇒ When you will try to break them, you will come to know that nail which is made up of the Iron is very hard to break. Thus, we can say that the particles of the matter(which occupies space) have INTER molecular forces acting between successive atoms .

This Proves the aim of the Activity.

Hope it helps.
