A car moves with constant speed of 10 m/s in a circular path of radius 10m. The mass of the car is 1000 kg. Who or what is providing the required centripetal force for the car? How much is it? (Ans:10⁴N) |
Answer» Answer: the REQUIRED CENTRIPETAL FORCE is 10⁴ N Explanation: GIVEN : speed= v=10 m/s radius= r=10m mass =m=1000kg Fc=? Formula :
=1000x 10x 10/10 =10⁴N ∴ the required centripetal force is 10⁴ N |

Geeta got a doubt, 'Why atomic nucleus contains proton and neutrons inside it? Why can't electrons and neutrons?' Can you help to clarify her doubt? Explain. |
Answer» It has a very simple answer. An ATOM primarily consists of neutrons, protons and electrons. Neutrons and protons are present in the nucleus of an atom. Electrons revolve around the nucleus. Protons have a positive charge of +1e (e= 1.6 x 10>-19 Coulombs) and Electrons have a negative charge -1e. Neutrons have zero charge so they are neutral PARTICLES Size matters ultimately, the size of proton is almost equal to the size and mass of neutron. Electron is a very light PARTICLE which moves at a very fast speed. They are hyperactive particles so cannot bind with neutrons due to lack of nuclear and electrostatic force. On the other hand, Proton and neutron can bound together due to PRESENCE of nuclear force. They both have smaller subatomic particles, so when protons or neutrons get close to each other, they exchange particles (mesons), ultimately binding them together. Hope it helps!!!! |

Difference between real and virtual image??? |
Answer» A real image is always INVERTED whereas a virtual image is always erect. A real image is formed when the RAYS of light after reflection or refraction ACTUALLY MEET at some POINT whereas a virtual image is formed when the rays of light after reflection or refraction appear to meet at a point. |

J.J. Thomson proposed that the nucleus of an atom contains only nucleons. For the given statement, write True or False |
Answer» Answer ⇒ False. EXPLANATION ⇒ NUCLEONS are the collective term for the Protons and Neutrons. J.J. Thomson proposed the model of the atom that only contains electrons and protons and no neutrons. Thus, the GIVEN statements is incorrect. Hence, answer is False. According to the Thomson mode of the atom, Electrons are compared to the SEEDS of the watermelon and the positive charge is compared to the reddish portion. Thus, It means that the Electrons are embedded in the positive charge as in the EXAMPLE of watermelon. Hope it helps. |
