Explain how the speed of sound can be determined by the method of echo

Answer»

Hii dear____❤️❤️

good evening____✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

Speed =Distance TRAVELLED / Time taken

Echo is a reflected SOUND.

To hear an echo, sound has to travel a distance from the source to the reflector and then BACK to the source.

So, if distance between source and reflector is x, then total distance travelled by sound will be 2X. And SUPPOSE time taken is 't'

Speed of sound=Total distance travelled / Time taken

=2 x / t

Hey guys!! PLEASE HELP!! NO FAKING ANSWERS PLEASE.A car of mass 1,000 kg moving from a velocity of 40km/h collides with a tree and comes to stop in 5s. What will be the force exerted by car on the tree?

Answer»

Here is the solution :

In general Force is calculated in Newtons,

1 N = 1 kg m/s²,

Now,
we know that,

Force = Rate of change of momentum,

=> F = ∆P/∆t ,

∆ indicates change, ∆P = P(FINAL) - P(initial)

Momentum (P) = mass (m) x Velocity(v)

Final momentum = m * v(final)

=> 1000*0 (As the body COMES to rest, It's velocity becomes 0)

=> P(Final) = 0,

Initial momentum = m * initial velocity

=> P(initial) = 1000 kg * 40 km/hr

1 km/hr = 5/18 m/s,

=> 40km/hr = 40*5/18 m/s

=> P(initial) = 1000*200/18 Kg m/s,

Time or change in time = 5 sec,

=> Force = ( P(final) - P(initial) )/Time

=> Force = (0 - 1000*200/18)/5 kg m/s²

=> Force = -1000*40/18 N

=> Force (F) = -2222.22222 Newtons

Therefore, The AMOUNT of Force applied by tree = -2222.2222 Newtons,

-ve sign indicates opposite direction to the velocity of CAR,

Hope you understand, Have a great day,
Thanking you, Bunti 360 !.

if the diameter and mass of the earth becomes two times their present values then the weight of the object

Answer»

When diameter BECOMES 2 times ,the radius of earth will also becomes 2 times.

we know that gravitational FORCE due to earth is directly proportional to its mass and inversely proportional to its radius.

so let its WEIGHT was w and now it's w'.

so w/w' = (M/R^2)/(M'/R'2)=MR'^2/M'R'^2.
we are given M'=2M and R'=2R

so
w/w'=M(2R)^2/2MR^2
w/w'=4MR^2/2MR^2
w/w'=2
or w'=2w.

It shows that weight becomes TWICE.

what are the factors influencing diffusion whether the arrangement of atoms in the substance that diffuse or the aaangements of atoms of the medium in which substance is kept (with aim procedure observation & conclusion)

Answer»

Diffusion is the net movement of MOLECULES or atoms from a region of high concentration (or high chemical potential) to a region of low concentration (or low chemical potential) as a result of random motion of the molecules or atoms. Diffusion is driven by a GRADIENT in chemical potential of the diffusing species.

A gradient is the change in the value of a quantity e.g. concentration, pressure, or temperature with the change in another variable, USUALLY distance. A change in concentration over a distance is called a concentration gradient, a change in pressure over a distance is called a pressure gradient, and a change in temperature over a distance is a called a temperature gradient.

The word diffusion derives from the Latin word, diffundere, which means "to spread way out".

A distinguishing feature of diffusion is that it depends on particle random walk, and results in mixing or mass transport without requiring directed BULK motion. Bulk motion, or bulk FLOW, is the characteristic of advection.[1] The term convection is used to describe the combination of both transport phenomena.

potential energy of a body of mass 0.5 kg increases by 100 J when it is taken to the top of the tower from ground If force of gravity on 1kg is 10 N what is the what is the height of tower

Answer»

HEYA MATE,

HERE IS UR ANSWER.

THANKS for asking this question.

Force of gravity on 1kg is 10 N
F = mg
10 = 1 * g
g = 10 m/s^2

Change in Potential energy = mg * ( h2 - h1 )
= mg * ( h - 0 )
= mgh

100 = mgh
h = 100 / mg
h = 100 / (0.5 * 10)
h = 20 m

Height of the tower is 20 m

Scalar product between two vectors

Answer»

The scalar product of TWO VECTORS A and B is a scalar quantity equal to the product of the MAGNITUDES of the two vectors and the cosine of the smallest ANGLE between them. The scalar product is commutative, A×B = B×A. When we form the scalar product of two vectors, we MULTIPLY the parallelcomponent of the two vectors.

47.

If a fluid moves in constant velocity could it have constant pressure?

Answer»

Your questions itself explains why so. The velocity in the fluid is a point PROPERTY, it can vary from point to point in the flow. In the steady flow, the velocity is CONSTANT at a point and it is invariant with respect to time,it doesn't mean that the velocity is constant every where in the fluid flow(if it is constant everywhere then it would be called an uniform flow). The velocity can vary due to area change,body forces ETC. Temporal invariance at a point is the only CHARACTERISTIC of a steady flow.

48.

Magnetic field inside a long solenoid decreases . why?
