Calculate the concentration interms of mass by volume percentage of the solution containing. 2.5g potassium chloride in 50ml of potassium chloride (KCl)solution? Ans: (5%)

Answer»

Given CONDITIONS

Mass of the Potassium Chloride = 2.5 g.

Volume of the Potassium Chloride SOLUTION = 50 mL.

∵ Concentration = Mass/Volume

∴ Concentration of the Potassium Chloride in Solution = 2.5/50

= 0.05 g/mL.

∴ Mass-volume Concentration in % = 0.05 × 100

= 5 %

Hope it helps.
