the number of ways in which 6 boys and 3 girls can sitting around a round table so that all the girls come together

Answer»

Let us assume 12 positions(1–12).

Let’s PLACE a boy in one position and shuffle remained ones around him.

As if no two boys should SIT together,there is only way for them to place all the boys is PLACING alternately.

Now sguffling these 5 boys (excluding initially placed one because it doesn’t matter where ever we place him) gives us 5! possibilities.

And for six GIRLS we have 6! possibilities.

Therefore TOTAL number of ways are5!×6!

=86400.

Factorise:-2x square-23x+30=0

Answer» 2X^2 - 23x + 30 = 0

=> 2x^2 - 20x - 3x + 30 = 0

=> (2x - 3)(x - 10) = 0

x = 10 and 3/2

The floor of a room of size 7cm *4m is to be covered by rectangular tiles of size 60cm by 50cm.find(i) the number of tiles required to cover the floor of the room and (it) the total cost if one dozen tiles cost Rs 300

Answer»

Hi!!!

here's ur answer...

given the LENGTH and BREADTH of the rectangular floor is 7cm and 4cm.

area of the rectangular floor = l × b

= 7 × 4

= 28m²

length and breadth of the rectangular tiles is 60cm = 0.6m and 50cm = 0.5m

area of the rectangular tile = l × b

= 0.6 × 0.5

= 0.3m²

1. HENCE the number of tiles required to cover the floor = 28/0.3

= 93.3333...

hence, 93 tiles are required (approx.)

ATQ, the COST of 1 dozen (12) tiles is rs 300

therefore cost of one tile = 300/12

= rs 25

hence, total cost = 25 × 93 = rs 2325

hope this HELPS..!!

A sum was put at simple interest at a certain rate for 2 years.had it been put 1 % higher rate , it would have fetched 24 more. find the sum

Answer»

let's US take PRINCIPAL be x and rate be y.
=>time GIVEN= 2yrs. Simple interest =Principal×rate×time /100= x×y×2/100=xy/50.
In another case,Principal and time remains same and rate=y+1. New Simple Interest=x×(y+1)×2/100=
xy+x/50 =xy/50 +x/50.diffrrence between new and ORIGINAL simple Interests =₹24=xy/50+x/50-xy/50
=>24=x/50=>x=₹1200. Sum invested =₹1200.

Answer» 17TH TERM DIFFERS by 20 from 13th term let's take first term of a A.P. be a and common difference of A.P.be d. Then 10th term of the A.P. be a+9d=52..(1)
17th term is a+16d and 13th term is a+12d. difference =a+16d-a-12d=4d which is given as 20. So d=5. Substitute d=5 in (1), a+9d=52=>a+9(5)=52=>a=52-45=>a=7.
So A.P. follows 7,12,17,22,27,32,37,42,47,52,57,62,67,72,77,82,87,92,97,102,.. so on.

draw a line segment of length 6.4 cm and divide it into four equal part . what is the length of each part ?

Answer»

The LINE drawn has a length of 6.4 cm.

Also it is divided into 4 EQUAL parts.

HENCE LET the measure of the each equal part be ' x '

So x * 4 parts = 6.4 cm

=> x = 6.4 cm / 4

=> x = 1.6 cm

Hence the measure of each equal part is 1.6 cm.

36.

If 5th and 6th term of an A.P. are respectively 6 and 5 find the 11th term of the A.P.

Answer»

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

T5 =a+(n-1) d = 6

=a + 4d =6 ....... (1)

T6 = a+(n-1) d = 5

=a+5 d = 5 ..... (2)

From 1 and 2 we get

=a+5 d = 5

=a + 4d =6

=d = -1

On SUBSTITUTING the VALUE of d in eq 1

=a + 4d =6

=a + 4(-1) =6

=a =6 +4

a = 10

Therefore

T11 = =a+(n-1) d

= 10 + 10(-1)

= 10 -10

= 0

Integration of root tanx solve it....

Answer»
∫√(tan x) dx

Let tan x = t2

⇒ sec2 x dx = 2T dt

⇒ dx = [2t / (1 + t4)]dt

⇒ Integral  ∫ 2t2 / (1 + t4) dt

⇒ ∫[(t2 + 1) + (t2 - 1)] / (1 + t4) dt

⇒ ∫(t2 + 1) / (1 + t4) dt + ∫(t2 - 1) / (1 + t4) dt

⇒ ∫(1 + 1/t2 ) / (t2 + 1/t2 ) dt + ∫(1 - 1/t2) / (t2 + 1/t2 ) dt

⇒ ∫(1 + 1/t2 )dt / [(t - 1/t)2 + 2] + ∫(1 - 1/t2)dt / [(t + 1/t)2 -2]

Let t - 1/t = u for the first integral ⇒ (1 + 1/t2 )dt = du

and t + 1/t = v for the 2nd integral ⇒ (1 - 1/t2 )dt = dv

Integral
= ∫du/(U2 + 2) + ∫dv/(v2 - 2)

= (1/√2) tan-1 (u/√2) + (1/2√2) LOG(v -√2)/(v + √2)l + C

= (1/√2) tan-1 [(t2 - 1)/t√2] + (1/2√2) log (t2 + 1 - t√2) / t2 + 1 + t√2) + c

= (1/√2) tan-1 [(tanx - 1)/(√2TAN x)] + (1/2√2) log [tanx + 1 - √(2tan x)] / [tan x + 1 + √(2tan x)] + c

The sum of two consecutive multiples of 17 is 391. find these multiples

Answer»

Let the two CONSECUTIVE multiples be 17x and 17(x + 1)

Given that SUM of two consecutive multiples is 391.

= > 17x + 17x + 17 = 391

= > 34X + 17 = 391

= > 34x = 391 - 17

= > 34x = 374

= > x = 374/34

= > x = 11.

Therefore, the REQUIRED numbers are:

= > x = 17(11)

= 187.

= > 17(x + 1) = 17(11 + 1)

= 204.

Therefore, the required multiples are 187 and 204.
