How to write analytic paragraph?? |
| Answer» Analytical Paragraph writing -\xa0An analytical paragraph is a form of descriptive writing which is written on the basis of a given chart, graph, data, outline, clues, table, etc. When\xa0writing an analytical paragraph, one should remember to describe the facts in the best possible manner and to cover the information provided.The\xa0analytical paragraph\xa0has to be written in around 100-120 words. So the paragraph must use clear and crisp language along with providing complete details of the chart given in the question. There will be an internal choice given. You need to attempt one question out of the two questions of analytical paragraphs given as a choice. The question carries 5 marks.1. The introductionThe introduction is the first paragraph that should describe in brief what the graph is about. It should be like an opening paragraph that introduces the reader to the context of the chart given. When writing the introductory paragraph, you need not go into the details. You just need to mention what is clearly evident from the chart or the graph given in the question. It is best to write the introduction in one or two lines.2. The body of the paragraphThis part of the analytical paragraph should contain details of the graph/chart given in the question. It should contain all the important information. It is extremely important to choose the significant details that should be included in the paragraph. The body can be broken into two or three sub-paragraphs depending on the information extracted from the graph.\xa0Breaking the body into subparagraphs makes it easy for the reader to understand.i. Organizing information:\xa0You should look for the large differences that are very prominent. You can mention the aspect which is the smallest or the largest in the data given. Any aspects that are similar should be mentioned next. You should further mention about the aspect that has remained unchanged or constant throughout.ii. Comparing information:\xa0If the chart mentions two different parties, for example, men and women, refer to both of them in the analytical paragraph. If there is any contrast or comparison that could be drawn, you must present it effectively. If the chart is about a particular time period or highlights trends of several years, mention each year in a concise manner. If any comparison or contrast can be done for two or more years, you should write about it too.iii. Mentioning quantities:\xa0When including numbers and figures, their accuracy must be ensured. There are a number of ways that can be used to describe quantities, for example- percentage, fraction, ratios, etc.iv. Connecting sentences:\xa0If different information or ideas are there, you should use connectors or linking phrases to link them logically. The sentences of the paragraph should be sequential and connected rationally.3. The conclusionThe last paragraph should summarise the idea mentioned and the information in general. It should be concluding in nature and act as the closing statement. One should keep in mind that one must not include any personal opinions, conclusions, or observations. You should simply stick to the facts. You need not dispose of the information to write a good analytical paragraph. The key is to choose wisely the important information, organize it well, state correct facts and summarise it properly.\xa0 | |

You may have well witnessed a funny incident |
| Answer» Funny and humorous incidents keep happening in our life. Ironically, they just happen unexpectedly as pleasant surprises. One such humorous incident happened recently. During the recent Diwali vacation, I got an opportunity to go to Mumbai to attend my uncle\'s son\'s wedding. It was quite a long journey. So we had our berths booked in the second class sleeper coach. The compartment we got, we had to share with another family. Our berths faced one another. So till evening we sat on the seats. Since they also belonged to our city, soon a friendship developed between the two families. The auntie was a very fat lady. She occupied most of the space of the compartment. But we could not do anything about it.Well, during the night something funny happened! I fell from my upper berth on to the fat auntie who was sleeping on the lowest berth. Fortunately neither of us was hurt. Thenceforth everybody made fun of me. I just cannot control my laughter whenever I think about it. | |

| Answer» Bholi’s parents were quite ordinary parents. Her father, Ramlal was the Numberdar of his village. Ramlal had seven children — three sons and four daughters; He was quite prosperous; he was quite traditional in his outlook. He sent his son to city for higher education; but he arranged for his daughters when they were quite young. He was quite much worried about Bholi because of her looks and stuttering. Ramlal had to send Bholi to school because of pressure from Tehsildar. Ramlal’s wife was very backward in thinking; she believed if the girls were allowed to go to schools, nobody would marry them. Bholi needed special care, but neither of her parents did that; they just wanted to get her married. When marriage proposal from Bishamber came who was a widower and many years older than Bholi, they accepted the proposal without consulting Bholi. | |

Take home message of 100 dresses part 1 |
| Answer» The story is about a quiet and shy girl named Wanda Petronski, a Polish immigrant, who had come to America with her family. She attended school with American children who found her name to be strange and probably, the weirdest in the classroom. This is because they all had easier names. She was poor and was always seen wearing a faded blue dress. Her classmates teased her because she claimed to have a hundred dresses “all lined up” in her closet albeit, always being seen wearing one. The ones who mainly teased her were the two best friends, Peggy and Maddie. Peggy was the most famous girl in school while anyone barely knew Wanda.Peggy and Maddie used to wait for Wanda before school even if it meant getting late. Maddie, a poor girl herself did not like when Peggy made fun of Wanda. She feared that she could be next. She wanted Peggy to stop making fun of Wanda, but could not summon courage to face her as she feared she’d lose her best friend. However, Peggy’s intention was never to hurt Wanda but she was curious as to why Wanda had to lie that she had a hundred dresses in her closet.Truth about the same hundred dresses unveiled on the result day of the drawing competition. The room was lined with one hundred drawings portraying different dresses, each so beautiful. That day, she truly had “a hundred dresses all lined up”, but in the classroom. At that moment, Peggy and Maddie, who were awestruck realised the theory of a hundred dresses and felt guilty about having treated her badly | |
