Answer» There are two interesting legends about tea. The first is about a Chinese emperor who used to drink boiled water. On one fine day , a few leaves of the twigs fell into the boiling water and gave it a delicious flavour. It is said that they were tea leaves. The other is about an Indian legend ,Bodhidharma who was an ancient ascetic cut off his eyelids because he felt sleepy during meditations . Ten tea plants grew out of these eyelids . The leaves of these plants when put in boiled water and drunk , banished sleep. There are two legends that are associated with the origin of tea.
