Explain different dimension of design model

Answer»

Design, designing, and being human-centered

The ACT of designing, as previously defined, is a function of 3 dimensions: thinking, doing, and ENVIRONMENT. In Figure 1 we can SEE their INTERPLAY and notice the underlining assumption that a human-centered (or design-driven) culture is a function of mindsets and environment; C=f(M/E). The thinking and doing activities in a given context establish a two-way relationship that creates the ORGANIZATION’s culture.

Example the role of education in social change citing relavant examples

Answer»

Introduction

Change is the law of life, and changes in society are always taking place. Changes may be slow, so slow that people may not even perceive them, there are times when they are so rapid and drastic. In all spheres of life things are changing in the economic sphere, in the political fields, in the sphere of education and so on. Social changes to a great EXTENT are brought about through the process of education.

Concept of Social Change

According to Davis : "By social change is meant only such alterations as occur in social organization, that is, structure and functions of society."

According to Gillin and Gillin : "Social changes are variations from the accepted modes of life; whether due to alterations in geographical conditions, in cultural equipment, composition of the population, or ideologies and whether brought about by diffusion or invention WITHIN the group."

According to Jones: "Social changes are a term used to describe variations in, or modifications of any aspect of social processes, social patterns, social interaction or social organization."

According to Fairchild: "Social change means variations or modifications in any aspect of social processes, patterns or form."

According to Jenson : "Social change may be defined as modification in the ways of doing and THINKING of people."

According to MacIver and Page : "Change in social structure is social change." Social structure is the network of relationship in a society involving social status, social roles and social norms.

According to DAWSON and Gettys : "Cultural change is social change, since culture is social in its origin."

According to Merril and Eldredge : "Social change means that large number of persons are engaged in activities that DIFFER from those which they or their immediate forefathers engaged in sometime before. When human behaviour is in the process of modification, that is only another way of indicating that social change is occurring."

According to Ginsberg's view : "By social change I understand change in social structures such as the size of a society, the composition or balance of its parts or the type of its organization."

In the light of above definitions social change can not be defined as a new fashion or mode in the life of people or in the operation of a society. Social change includes modification in social techniques, relationships, behaviour patterns, folkways, more and institutions, sometimes leading to change in philosophic outlook. In other words, social change refers to change that occurs in the structure and functioning of the social system comprising the following areas:

·         Social structures and institutions

·         Roles performed by individuals

·         Social relationships among people

·         Patterns of social interactions

·         Values and norms, and

·         Functions of different groups and institutions.

·         Hence, social change signifies social Growth, Social Development, Social Evolution, Social Progress, Social Revolution, Social Reform etc.

Pls help by mistake i have broke the mirror. What to do pls.Best will marks as brainlist.

Answer»

There are MANY objects, which cannot be repaired, or, if you MUST, then cost of repair is much more than getting new one!

BROKEN mirror is one of such object. However, if it is only chipped from corner, then we can re-grind it to remove sharp edge and job is done. But if it is broken in pieces, then it is not repairable, unless we RECYCLE it.

Another option is, we can select the largest PIECE from broken mirror and cut it in nice shape for maximum size. Edges can be polished again with abrasive stone and it can be framed.

Short notes relative deprivation

Answer»

Relative deprivation is the lack of resources to sustain the diet, lifestyle, activities and amenities that an individual or group are accustomed to or that are widely encouraged or approved in the society to which they belong. Measuring relative deprivation allows an objective comparison between the situation of the individual or group compared to the rest of society[2]. Relative deprivation may also emphasise the individual experience of discontent when being deprived of something to which one believes oneself to be entitled, however emphasizing the PERSPECTIVE of the individual makes objective measurement problematic.

It is a term used in social sciences to describe feelings or measures of economic, political, or social deprivation that are relative rather than absolute. The term is inextricably linked to the similar terms poverty and social exclusion. The concept of relative deprivation has important consequences for both behavior and attitudes, including feelings of stress, political attitudes, and participation in collective action. It is relevant to researchers studying multiple fields in social sciences. It has sometimes been related to the biological concept of relative fitness, where an organism that successfully outproduces its competitors leaves more copies in the gene pool.[citation needed]

Social scientists, particularly political scientists and sociologists, have cited 'relative deprivation' (especially temporal relative deprivation) as a potential cause of social movementsand deviance, LEADING in extreme situations to political violence such as rioting, terrorism, civil wars and other instances of social deviance such as crime. For example, some scholars of social movements explain their rise by citing grievances of PEOPLE who feel deprived of what they perceive as values to which they are entitled.[9] Similarly, individuals ENGAGE in DEVIANT behaviors when their means do not match their goals.

Roosevelt upon worl;d war ii involv ement

Answer»

Through the trials of the Great Depression.

Share

INTRODUCTION

Franklin D. Roosevelt was in his second TERM as governor of New York when he was elected as the nation’s 32nd president in 1932. With the country mired in the depths of the Great Depression, Roosevelt immediately acted to restore public confidence, PROCLAIMING a bank holiday and speaking directly to the public in a series of radio broadcasts or “fireside chats.” His ambitious slate of New Deal programs and reforms redefined the role of the federal government in the lives of Americans. Reelected by comfortable margins in 1936, 1940 and 1944, FDR led the United States from isolationism to victory over Nazi Germany and its allies in World War II. He spearheaded the successful wartime ALLIANCE between Britain, the Soviet Union and the United States and helped lay the groundwork for the post-war peace ORGANIZATION that would become the United NATIONS. The only American president in history to be elected four times, Roosevelt died in office in April 1945.

Mass media effect on globalization

Answer»

Hey dear

Globalization of media discourse by establishing virtual world space, developing communication media has created new patterns of action and new WAYS of interaction and social relations, which led to a complex reordering of human interaction patterns in space and time, resulting in twentieth century, an increase in public space. Globalization is now a globalization of media and communications-information companies. Answer»

Status of Women in India Essay (150 words)

EARLIER in the Vedic times, women were given lots of respect and honor in the INDIAN society. They were equally given opportunities like men to develop socially, intellectually and morally. They were completely free to choose their own path in the life and select life partner. They were getting complete education before marriage as well as military training for their own safety. However, women status in the Indian society got deteriorated in the middle ages because of various BAD practices against women.

The position of women became inferior when they supposed to be plaything of man and decoration of drawing room. Women became almost slave of man passions and forced to live BEHIND purdah. They were left their rights of education and property. However again in the independent India, women are enjoying perfect equality with the man. They are no longer a slave of man’s passion and not living at the mercy of man. They are raising their voice and help in shaping the DESTINY of country.
