A car starts from rest and moves with constant acceleration. Then the ratio of the distance covered by it in the nth second to that covered in n seconds is :

Answer»

tion:Distance covered in n SECONDS is simply CALCULATED by 2nd equation of motion….. #Distance covered in nth second is DEFINE as distance covered from (n) to (n+1) second which COMES as s(nth)= (a/2)×(2n+1). Hence ratio will comes as (2n+1)/(n^2).

Can a body at rest possess energy explain your answer with an example

Answer»

Yes, a body at rest can possess energy. We can answer this question in different ways with different examples. First, as you might have seen in classical mechanics, that when an object is keep at some height above the surface, it gains an energy what we call as GRAVITATION potential energy. We can also say it more correctly as, when an object is taken against it's desire (i.e., against an external force acting on it, from some other source), it will gain potential energy (not only due to GRAVITY). Therefore, a body at rest is possessing potential energy here. Secondly, if you think of a wooden peice, paper, or a matchstick burned at one end, then the whole peice will burn, dissipating heat and light energy. Now, nothing is transferring energy to it continuously but it is giving off the energy stored in it. What you have done is only initiates the process of burning. If resting body cannot possess energy then the paper or matchstick will never dissipate energy. Lastly, let's LOOK the most famous equation of Einstein which PROVES the equivalence of energy and mass, i.e., E=mc^2. This equation tells that the mass and energy are interconvertible, or we could say that mass is the condensed form of energy. Everything around us have some mass (no matter how SMALL it is) and therefore they all must possess energy. Hence, a resting body can possess energy in different forms (potential energy, thermal energy, etc.).Explanation:

Answer» GIVEN :-Height of the tower = 30 mSpeed the ball THROWN from the bottom is 30 m/sTo find :-When will both the balls meet How to find :-Let's take that the ball thrown from the top of the tower (1 st particle) travels a distance (30 - x) and the ball dropped from the top (2 nd particle) travels x m.Let both the balls meet at a time 't'.For the first particle, By applying ------ (1)For the second particle,By applying  ------ (2)  (Here we GET -5 because the particle is moving opposite to the direction of g)Adding both the equations we get,100 = 30tt = 10/3 s = 3.333 SNOW substituting t = 3.333 s in the first equation we get , 30 - x ≈ 55.5 mx = - 25.5 m (Negative sign indicates opposite to the motion of particle)Hence both the particles meet at 25.5 m above the ground at 3.33 s.HOPE IT HELPS YOUPLEASE MARK ME AS THE BRAINLIEST
