A motorcyclist start from rest and reaches a speed of 6m/s after travelling with uniform acc. for 3s .what is his acceleration

Answer»

It SAYS STARTS from REST
THEREFORE,
u=0
v=6
a=v-u/t
a=6-0/3
a=6/3=2m/s SQ.

20.

A motor car of mass 20 quintal is moving with velocity of 60 km per hour by application of brakes is brought to rest in a distance of 3 kilometre find average force of resistance and newton

Answer»

GIVEN conditions ⇒

Mass = 20 Quintal = 2000 kg.

Initial Velocity = 60 km/hr.

Distance covered before coming to rest = 3 km.

Final Velocity = 0

Using the Third's EQUATION of motion,

v² - u² = 2aS

⇒ (0)² - (60)² = 2(a)(3)

⇒ a = -3600/6

∴ a = -600 km/hr²

Now, For the Force,

Force = Mass × Acceleration.

∴ Force = 2000 × -600

= -12 × 10⁵ N.

Negative sign shows that the force is acting in the Opposite direction.

Hope it helps.

30.

Discuss, in brief, the variation in atmospheric pressure with altitudes. Do changes in temperature also cause a change in atmospheric pressure?Please give an answer of 5 lines or points and correct answer... pleaseIts urgent

Answer»

Yes, but it isn’t the only VARIABLE at play. There are lots of influencing FACTORS out there (the EARTH is a big system, after all), but of COURSE when you increase temperature without increasing ANYTHING else (i.e. volume and amount of gas) you are going to increase pressure. The gas laws definitely apply.

But so do water phase change, night/day, wind, geography, etc.

31.

can we accelerate both positive and negative charged particle in van de graaff generator? or can we generate postive and negative voltage in van de graaff generator?

Answer»

A Van de Graaff generator is an electrostatic generator which uses a moving BELT to accumulate electric charge on a hollow metal globe on the top of an insulated column, creating very high electric potentials. It produces very high VOLTAGE direct CURRENT (DC) electricity at LOW current levels.

36.

A car travels first 450 kms of a journey at a speed of 90kmph and the remaining 750 km at a speed of 50kmph. find the average speed of the whole journey

Answer» TIME taken for 450 km at a speed of 90 kmph

= 450/90 = 5 h

Tike taken for 750 km at a speed of 50 kmph

= 750/50 = 15 h

Total distance = 450 + 750 = 1200 km

total time = 5 + 15 = 20 h

so, average speed = total distance/total time

= 1200/20 = 60 kmph

This is the ANSWER.....

43.

a ball is thrown upwards with a velocity of 14m/s from a height of 350 m. find the time taken by the ball to reach the ground.(g= 10m/s2)

Answer»

ANSWER
___________________________

Height attained over 350 m

= v^2 = u^2 - 2gh
= 0 = 196 - 2 × 10 h
=> h = 196 / 20
=> h = 9.8 m

=> TIME TAKEN BY THE BALL TO REACH THE GROUND = √(2h/g)

= √ ( 2 × 359.8 / 10 )
= √ ( 71.96 )
= 8.48 sec

44.

A body is dropped from a certain height h and second body is thrown downward with velocity of 5m/s simultaneously .what will be difference in heights of the two bodies after 3s ?

Answer»

We will use the FOLLOWING equation of motion.

S = Ut + 0.5gt²

Where S is the height, g the gravitational acceleration and t the TIME and U the initial velocity.

In the first case U = 0and hence S is :

S = 0 + 0. 5 × 10 × 9 = 45m

In the second case U is 5m/s and hence height is :

S = 3 × 5 + 0.5 × 10 × 9

S = 60M

The difference in height is thus :

60 - 45 = 15m

48.

A ball is dropped from a height of 12m and it rebounds 1/2 of the distance it falls .if continues to fall and rebound in this way how far will it travel before coning to rest

Answer»

ANSWER
______________________________

The Distance it would travel would be Infinite.

It is because The total distance would be
12 + 6 + 3 + 1.5 + 0.75 + 0.375 + 0.1875 .......

This would never end since the ball will travel the half of the original distance and 0 is not the half of any Number. HENCE the Ball although with negligible HEIGHT, would keep on bouncing FOREVER and EVER and ever.
