A body is dropped from a certain height h and second body is thrown downward with velocity of 5m/s simultaneously .what will be difference in heights of the two bodies after 3s ? |

Answer» We will use the FOLLOWING equation of motion. S = Ut + 0.5gt² Where S is the height, g the gravitational acceleration and t the TIME and U the initial velocity. In the first case U = 0and hence S is : S = 0 + 0. 5 × 10 × 9 = 45m In the second case U is 5m/s and hence height is : S = 3 × 5 + 0.5 × 10 × 9 S = 60M The difference in height is thus : 60 - 45 = 15m |
