A fruit seller has 72 pineapples, 108 apples and 120 mangoes. he desire to put them into heaps of equal numbers. what is the maximum equal number of fruits that he can put in each heap? How many total such heaps of equal numbers will be form?

Answer»

First FIND the HCF of the total NUMBER of pineapples , apples and mangoes to find the MAXIMUM number of FRUITS he can put in each heap.
HCF of 72,108 and 120= 12
therefore, he can put 12 fruits in each heap.
To find the number of heaps we first add the number of fruits

72+108+120=300
and then we will divide number of fruits by the number of fruits in each heap
300÷12 = 25
Therefore number of heaps = 25

Answer»

ALLAHABAD: In sharp contrast to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s image of a temple destroyer in history books, an Allahabad-based historian has claimed that he had offered lavish grants and land to the ancient Someshwar Mahadev temple on the BANKS of Sangam in Arail.

Historian and principal of Serveshwari DEGREE College Pradeep Kesherwani made this claim based on certain historical facts. “During one of his MILITARY campaigns,

Aurangzeb

How many terms of the AP : 9,17,25,....must be taken to give asum of 636

Answer»

A=9, d=17-9=8, Sn=636
Sn=n/2 [(2A+(n-1) d]
636= n/2 [ 2*9+(n-1)*8]
636= n/2 [18+8n-8]
636*2= n (10+8n)
1272= 10n+8n^2
8n^2+10n-1272=0
2(4n^2+5n-636)=0
4n^2+5n-636=0
4n^2+53n-48n-636=0
n(4n+53)-12(4n+53)=0
(n-12) (4n+53)=0
n=12, n=-53/4
n=-53/4 is not possible
So, n=12

Answer»

If 2.75 LITRES of mercury weighs 37.4 kg then DENSITY of mercury=37.4/2.75 kg/L= 13.6 kg/L so 13600 gms is weight of 1000 ML or 1000CC. Weight of 5cc mercury =13600/1000×5=68 gms.

14.

By selling a radio rs. 903, a shopkeeper gains 5percent .find the cost price of the radio.

Answer»

Let cp = 100

as there is a gain 5% = 100+ 5 = 105.

let cp of the radio = x

now doing as proportion

100/x = 105/903

CROSS MULTIPLICATION

x*105 = 100*903

105x = 90300

x = 90300/105

x = 860 .

hence cost price of the radio = 860.

Two cars consumes 20Km/Liter and 15Km/liter of petrol respectively. what is the minimum quantity of petrol the cars needs to have in their petrol tanks to go exactly the same direction?

Answer»

Hi friend!

In this QUESTION, we need to find out how many minimum litres of petrol does each car need to have, if they both have to travel the exact same distance, right? Ok, so let's see;

Mileage of car A: 20kmpl
Mileage of car B: 15kmpl

We need to find LCM of 20 and 15 over here, to find the common distance multiple.

LCM of 20 & 15 is 60km. I have attached a pic. to show you the process of LCM.

Car A and B need x and y litres of petrol to run 60km, respectively.
This can be done by dividing the two figures.

Car A: 60/20 litres = 3 litres
Car B: 60/15 litres = 4 litres

Therefore, Car A needs 3 litres of petrol and Car B needs 4 litres of petrol at the minimum.

There's your answer! Hope you found my answer useful .

5 rational no.between 1/2&1/3

Answer» HI friend!
Let's see,

First we have to make them as like fractions.
1/2 x 3/3 = 3/6
1/3 x 2/2 = 2/6

Now, the are no numbers between these two, so let's TAKE a short cut.
Let's MULTIPLY both of them with one number GREATER than the number of numbers we need, i.e. 6⃣/6⃣

3/6 x 6/6 = 18/36
2/6 x 6/6 = 12/36

Now take the five numbers that come between these two!

THANK you. Hope you found my answer useful .
