Find the area of triangle whose sides are in the ratio of 12 is to 17 is 225 and its perimeter is 540 CMplz guys fast

Answer» RATIO of SIDES
12: 17:25

let them be
12x,17x, 25X respectively

perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides
540 = 12x,17x, 25x
540 = 54x
x = 10

all sides measure
12x = 12×10 = 120
17x = 17× 10 = 170
25x= 25 × 10 = 250

it's semipetimeter = 540/2
= 270

using HERON's FORMULA area of the triangle =
root {(s)(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

where s is the semipetimeter and a,b,c
area the sides of the triangle.

root {( 270)(270-120)(270-170)(270-250)}
= 9000cm²

Answer»

Total NUMBER of shoes 20
Out of 20 shoes 2 can be selected in C(20,2)ways
We want 2 matching shoes.
First MAKE 2 matching shoes as 1 unit.
Now there are 10 units
Out of 10 units 1 unit can selected in C(10,1) WAYS.
PROBABILITY OF SELECTING 2 MATCHING SHOES =C(10,1)/C(20,2)=10/190=1/19

33.

Solve this...........

Answer»

Hii !!

It seems something is wrong in the question.

DC = 100 cm , it should be 10 cm.

ABCD is a rectangle, in which

AD = 12 cm, DF = 10 cm , BE = 7 cm and AB = 18 cm.

As we know that opposite sides are always equal.

So,

AD = BC = 12 cm and AB = DC = 18 cm.

Length of rectangle = 18 cm

And,

Breadth of rectangle = 12 cm

Therefore,

Area of rectangle = L × B = 18 × 12 = 216 cm².

BC = 12 cm and BE = 7 cm

Therefore,

EC = BC - BE = 12 - 7 =5 cm.

And,

DC = 18 cm , DF = 10 cm

Therefore,

FC = DC - DD = 18 - 10 = 8 cm.

-------------------------------------------

As we can see that ∆ ADF , ∆ECF , ∆ABE are right angled triangle .

Therefore,

Area of ∆ADF = 1/2 × AD × DF

Area of ∆ADF = 1/2 × 12 × 10 = 60 cm²

Area of ∆ECF = 1 /2 × EC × FC

Area of ∆ ECF = 1/2 × 8 × 5 = 20 cm².

And,

Area of ∆ABE = 1/2 × AB × BE

Area of ∆ ABE = 1/2 × 18 × 7 = 56 cm².

Therefore,

Area of the shared region = Area of rectangle - (area of ∆ ADF + area of ∆ ECF + Area of ∆ ABE )

=> [ 216 - ( 60 + 20 + 56 ) ] cm².

=> [ 216 - ( 136 ) ] cm².

=> ( 216 - 136 ) cm².

=> 80 cm².

What is the diameter of a base of cone having slant height 41 cm and height is 40 cm

Answer»

We know that,
(Slant HEIGHT) ^2 = (Height)^2 + (Base)^2
=> l^2 = h^2+B^2
=> (41)^2 = (40)^2 + b^2
=> 1681 = 1600 + b^2
=> 1681-1600 = b^2
=> b = root81

The difference of two natural numbers is 3 and the difference of their reciprocals is 3 / 28. Find the numbers.Class 10 Quadratic Equations

Answer»

According to the question,

Let the required TWO numbers are x and ( x - 3 ),

Given, the difference of their RECIPROCALS is 3 / 28.

Reciprocal of x = 1 / x

Reciprocal of x - 3 = 1 / ( x - 3 )

⇒ Difference = 3 / 28

\implies \dfrac{1}{x-3} - \dfrac{1}{x}= \dfrac{3}{28}\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{x-x+3}{x(x-3)}=\dfrac{3}{28}\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{3}{x(x-3)}=\dfrac{3}{28}\\\\\\\implies \dfrac{1}{x^2-3x} =\dfrac{1}{28}\\\\\\\implies 28 = x^2-3x

⇒ x^2 - 3x - 28 = 0

⇒ x^2 - ( 7 - 4 )x - 28 = 0

⇒ x^2 - 7x + 4x - 28 = 0

⇒ x( x - 7 ) + 4( x - 7 ) = 0

⇒ ( x - 7 )( x + 4 ) = 0

⇒ x = 7 or - 4

Given that the required numbers are NATURAL numbers, so they can't be negative.

∴ x = 7

Other NUMBER = x - 3 = 7 - 3 = 4

Therefore, required natural numbers are 7 and 4 .
