A cuboid of sides 3cm*3cm*5cm.how many such cuboids will be needed to form a cube

Answer»

Prime factorisation

(So that we can find the number to MULTIPLY to get PERFECT cube)

so the prime factors are 3 , 3 and 5

We must have triplets in the factors.If triplets are not there we should multiply the NUMBERS such as there is a PAIR of 3 and single 5 so one 3 is less from its triplet and pair of 5 is less from its triplet.

So multiply these numbers 3*5*5=75

Therefore 75 number of cuboids are necessary to form a cube.

6.

A cricketer had an average number of runs at 32 after playing 10 innings . if he wants to make his average run increased by 4 then how much runs will he have to score inthe next innings

Answer»

Hope u like my process
=====================
Average runs he SCORED playing 10 INNINGS=32

Total runs he scored in 10 innings =32×10

=320
__________________________
If Average runs increases by 4.
Then,

New Average run = 32 +4 =36

So average run in 11 innings =36

Total runs in 11 innings = 36× 11 =396
_________________________
Now..

Total runs scored in NEXT innings i.e. At 11th inning = total runs after 11 innings - total runs after 10 innings.

= 396 - 320 = 76 __(answer) __

So the required runs in 11th inning is 76

how much percent above the cost price should A shopkeeper marks his goods so that after allowing a discount of 20% on the Marked price he gains 12%

Answer»

How much percent above the cost price should A shopkeeper marks his GOODS so that after allowing a discount of 20% on the Marked price he gains 12%

initial amount percentage = 100%
discount = 20%
profit = x %
profit after discount = 12%
so, total profit = 112%

112% = 100% -20% + x%
112% = 80% + x%
x% = 112% - 80%
x% = 32%

The organizes of aquiz competition decided that the winner in the comptition will get a prize of £200 and a participant who does not win will get a prize of £50. The total prize money distributed is £12000. Find the number of winners, if the total number of partcipants is 120.

Answer»

The organizes of aquiz COMPETITION decided that the winner in the competition will get a PRIZE of 200 rupees
so, winner get 200 rupees

let no of winner be x

participant who does not win will get a prize of 50 rupees
so, participant will get 50 rupees

total PARTICIPANTS is 120

The total prize money DISTRIBUTED is 12000 rupees
total prize = 12000

so, 200x + 120×50 = 12000
200x + 6000 = 12000
200x = 12000 - 6000
200x = 6000
x = 6000/200
x = 30

so, total no of winner is x = 30

A and b can do a piece of work in 4 days .if a alone can do it in 6 days in how many days can b do it ?

Answer»

A and B can do a piece of work in 4 days
so, A + B = 4
one day work of A and B
A + B = 1/4................(1)

A ALONE can do it in 6 days
so, A = 6
one day work of A
A = 1/6..............(2)

substitute (2) in (1)
(1/6) + B = 1/4
B = 1/4 - 1/6
B = (3-2)/12
B = 1/12
one day work of B is 1/12

so, B can FINISH whole work in 12 days

A and b can do a piece of work in 10 day b and c is 15 day and c and a in 20 then c alone can do same work

Answer»

A and B can do a piece of work in 10 days
so, A+B = 10
one day work of A and B
A+B = 1/10.............(1)

B and C can do it in 15 days
so, B + C = 15
one day work of B and C is
B+C = 1/15..............(2)

A and C can do it in 20 days
so, A+C = 20
one day work of A and C is
A+C = 1/20...........(3)

sum all three EQUATIONS (1), (2), (3)
(A+B) + (B+C) + (A+C) = (1/10)+(1+15)+(1/20)
2A + 2B + 2C = (1/5)((1/2)+(1/3)+(1/4))
2(A+B+C) = (1/5)((6+4+3)/12)
2(A+B+C) = 13/60
A+B+C = 13/120..............(4)

substitute (1) in (4)
(1/10) + C = 13/120
C = (13/120) - (1/10)
C = (13-12)/120
C = 1/120
one day work of C is 1/120

whole work DONE by C in 120 days

The ratio of circumference to the diameter of a circle c/d is represented by p . But we say that p is an irrational number. Why?

Answer»

Mistake in the QUESTION : represented by pi(π). say that pi(π) is an irrational number.

SOLUTION:

Circumference = π × diameter

c = πd

π = c/d

π is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the length of the diameter.When we measure the length with the scale Or any other device we only get an approximate rational value so we may not realise that in c & d which one is irrational.So either c or d is irrational and HENCE c/d is irrational i.e π is irrational. Hence ,there is no contradiction in SAYING that π is irrational.

जब 6666666........को 64 अंको तक 17 से विभाजित किया जाता है तो शेषफल क्या होगा?

Answer»

So,

For the GLOBAL people who don't understand HINDI,

The question is,

If the number 666666666666....... is divided by 17 then what is the remainder after 64 digits

So,

This is INDEED a tricky question

But after putting in some manly hours you will realize that the number after 16 digits will perish

That is, the number

6666.... upto 16 digits is COMPLETELY divisible by 17

So,

The remainder after 16 digits will be zero and the quotient for the same will be,

39215686274080 will ALWAYS recur

So,

64 can be written as

16 × 4

So, digits with 666... as

16 times

32 times

64 times

will be zero

So, the remainder for the number will be 0
