The temperature of Bangalore on a sunny day was 20°C in the morning. The temperature increased by 19°C by noon. It at that temperature for 5 hours & then decreased by 15°C. What would be the temperature of the city at 8 pmPlease answer this question I will mark them as brainlilist

Answer»

Solution :-

At 12 noon, the temperature = 10° C above zero

The temperature is decreasing at 2° C per hour

8° C below zero = - 8° C

So, total fall in temperature from 10° C to 0° C and from 0° C to - 8° C = 18° C

Since the temperature falls 2° C in EVERY one hour.

Therefore, to decrease 18° C, time TAKEN = 18/2

= 9 hours

Present time is 12 noon so, the time when the temperature is - 8° C

= 12 noon + 9 hours

So, The time at which the temperature will be - 8° C = 9 PM

At 9 PM, the temperature is - 8° C, the temperature at 12 MIDNIGHT will be =

(- 8° C) + (- 2° C × 3 hours)

= (- 8° C) + (- 6° C)

= - 14° C

So, at 12 midnight the temperature will be - 14° C.

Write the arithmetic sequence got by adding 3 to multiples of 7 ?Write the algebraic expression of this sequence? Is 2000 a term of this sequence ?

Answer»

Answer:

Multiple of 7 = 7 , 14 , 21 ........

3 added = 10 , 17 , 24 ........

an = a + (n - 1) d

an = 10 + (n - 1) 7

an = 10 + 7n - 7

an = 7n + 3

Let 2000 be nth term of A.P.

an = a + (n - 1) d

2000 = 10 + (n - 1) 7

2000 = 10 + 7n - 7

2000 = 7n + 3

7n = 1997

n = 1997/7        (n ≠ whole number)

Hence, 2000 is not a term of A.P.

In the given figure, T is a point on QR such that QT : TR = 3:5 and U is a point on PR such that PU : UR = 3:5, thenthe value of UT equals

Answer»

Answer:

Given :  T is a point on QR such that QT : TR = 3 : 5.  U is a point on PR such that PU : UR = 3 : 5,

To Find :   VALUE of UT  in terms of PQ

Solution:

QT : TR = 3 : 5

=> QT/TR = 3/5

=> QT/TR +  1 = 3/5 + 1

=> (QT + TR)/TR = (3 + 5)/5

=>  QR/TR = 8/5

PU : UR = 3 : 5

=> PU/UR = 3/5

=> PU/UR + 1 = 3/5 + 1

=> PR/UR  = 8/5

Comparing  Δ UTR  &  ΔPQR

QR/TR = PR/UR  = 8/5

∠R is common

Hence   Δ UTR  ≈  ΔPQR   ( SAS CRITERIA )

=> UT/PQ  =  UR/PR

=> UT/PQ  =  5/8

=> UT = (5/8) PQ

Let n be an integer greater than 100 such that the L.C.M. of 1, 2, 3, … n is equal to the L.C.M. of 101, 102 ,…, n. Find the product of all digits of the smallest possible value of n.

Answer»

Given :   n be an integer greater than 100 such that the L.C.M. of 1, 2, 3, … n is equal to the L.C.M. of 101, 102 ,…, n.

To find : the product of all DIGITS of the smallest possible value of n.

Solution:

L.C.M. of 1, 2, 3, … n is equal to the L.C.M. of 101, 102 ,…, n.

Let find prime number less than 101

that is 97

So LCM of 101, 102 ,…, n.  must have a number having  a number multiple of 97

97 * 2 = 194

hence  n should be atleast 194

product of all digits of the smallest possible value of n

= 1 * 9 * 4

= 36
