Vinyl polymers that do not dissolve in water after film formatio?

Answer»

Polyvinyl formal (PVF) and Polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) are the vinyl polymers that are highly insoluble in water instead they FORM a film in water instead they dissolved in anionic surface-active agent resolution.

compound SOLUTIONS of PVF, PVAc, and polyvinyl alcohol in surface-active agent were studied viscometrically and electrophoretically. The compound forms a posh with the surface-active agent, the behaviour of that is analogous to it of electrolyte. The advanced is charged and migrates to the anode. With qualitative analysis of the answer of polymer‐surfactant advanced against running water, the compound separates out; but, the compound doesn't separate of undialyzed resolution, NOTWITHSTANDING the answer is diluted to way less concentration than the CMC of the surface-active agent. therefore the dissolution of the compounds within the surface-active agent resolution is because of the homeward adsorption of surface-active agent ions on the polymer molecule. the quantity of adsorb-able surface-active agent ions was calculable. The adsorption could be of the Langmuir SORT.

2.

The rate of diffusion of methane at given temp is twice of a gas x the molecular wieght of gas x is

Answer»

The rate of diffusion of methane at given TEMP is twice of a gas x the molecular weight of gas x is 64.

The rate of diffusion of two GASES are compared as follows.

\frac{r1}{r2}  = \sqrt{\frac{M1}{M2}}

As The rate of diffusion of methane at given temp is twice of a gas x the molecular weight of gas x is 64.

Hence,

\frac{r1}{2r1}  = \sqrt{\frac{16}{M2}}

\frac{1}{2}  = \sqrt{\frac{16}{M2}}

Squaring both sides to remove the square root.

(\frac{1}{2})^{2}   = (\sqrt{\frac{16}{M2}})^{2}

Then we will get after squaring both sides,Then we will get after squaring both sides,

\frac{1}{4}  = \frac{16}{M2}

M2 = 64

Define and prove law of conservation of mass with diagram

Answer»

Hey here is your answer.....
The law of conservation of massstates that mass in an ISOLATED system is NEITHER created nor destroyed by chemical reactions or physical transformations. According to the law of conservation of mass, the mass of the products in a chemical reaction must EQUAL the mass of the REACTANTS.

7.

Two charges q1 and q2 are placed on the x-axis, with q1 at x=a and q2 at x=3a

Answer»

The FORCE experienced by Q due to q1 is, F1= kQq1/(a+a/2)2

The force experienced by Q due to q2 is, F2= kQq2/(a/2)2

For the net force on Q to be zero,

[in this CASE q1 and q2 must be of same nature, we CONSIDER both to be positive]

F1 - F2 = 0

=> kQq1/(a+a/2)2 - kQq2/(a/2)2 = 0

=> q1/(3a/2)2 = q2/(a/2)2

=> q1 = 9q2

Similarly when Q is placed at 3a/2,

[in this case q1 and q2 must be of opposite nature, we consider q1 as positive and q2as negative]

The force experienced by Q due to q1 is, F1= kQq1/(a+3a/2)2

The force experienced by Q due to q2 is, F2= -kQq2/(a/2)2

For the net force on Q to be zero,

F1 - F2 = 0

=> kQq1/(a+3a/2)2 + kQq2/(a/2)2 = 0

=> q1/(5a/2)2 = -q2/(a/2)2

=> q1 = -25q2

The heat of combustion of benzene at 27 degree c found by bomb calorimeter that is for the reaction

Answer»

Your QUESTION seems to be incomplete but all you need to know about these aromatic compounds such as BENZENE have six CARBON atoms in the ring.

The heat of combustion produced will depend on the number of carbon atoms in the STRUCTURE hence it may be high or low.

Using this OVERVIEW will help you know how to go about it.

17.

What was the limitation of dobbereiner

Answer» FIRST:

Doberenier could only find four TRIADS at that time. All those elements could not be classified as Doberenier’s triads.

Second:

This was a major DRAWBACK of Doberenier’s triads. He stated that when three elements of same chemical properties were arranged in order of their increasing atomic masses, the sum of first and third element was rougly the average of the middle element. But, three elements NITROGEN, phosphorus and arsenic have same chemical properties, but these three elements do not follow Doberenier’s rule.

Atomic mass of nitrogen is 14 u and that of arsenic is 74.9 u but their average is 14+74.9/2= 44.45 u which is much higher than atomic mass of phosphorus i.e, 31 u.

So, Doberenier’s triads could not be used.

Hope it helps

What is the relation between molecules n gram molecules?

Answer» ORIGIN of gram molecule. Gram atoms, gram molecules and gram ions are apparently the same but still have minor DIFFERENCES. Gram atom is the no. of atoms present in ONE mole of a SUBSTANCE. WHEREAS gram molecule is the no. of molecules present in one mole of that substance instead of the atoms.

tuning the physicochemical properties of diverse phenolic ionic liquids for equimolar co 2 capture by the substituent on the anion

Answer»

Phenolic ionic liquids for the efficient and REVERSIBLE capture of CO2 were designed and prepared from phosphonium hydroxide and substituted PHENOLS. The electron‐withdrawing or electron‐donating ability, position, and number of the substituents on the anion of these ionic liquids were correlated with the physicochemical properties of the ionic liquids. The results show that the stability, viscosity, and CO2‐capturing ability of these ionic liquids were significantly affected by the substituents. Furthermore, the relationship between the DECOMPOSITION temperature, the CO2‐ABSORPTION capacity, and the basicity of these ionic liquids was quantitatively correlated and further rationalized by theoretical calculation. Indeed, these ionic liquids showed good stability, HIGH absorption capacity, and low absorption enthalpy for CO2 capture. This method, which tunes the physicochemical properties by making use of substituent effects in the anion of the ionic liquid, is important for the design of highly efficient and reversible methods for CO2‐capture. This CO2 capture process using diverse phenolic ionic liquids is a promising potential method for CO2 absorption with both high absorption capacity and good reversibility.

How polarity explains about elecyronegativity

Answer»

Due to ELECTRONEGATIVITY difference between atoms in a molecule, shared PAIR of ELECTRONS move to the more electronegative atom.So it aquires a partial negative charge and the other atom gets a partial positive charge.Thus a charge separation is formed in the molecule and it becomes POLAR.

The strongest hydrgen bond is present inoptionsNh3, water, HF, ethylalcohol with explanation ...must

Answer»

Hey mate your answer is HF.because Then the electronegativity of F is the higher of the group (indeed, it is the highest of all the 118 elements) . The higher the electronegativity the stronger the attraction that the halogen attracts the ELECTRONS and the stronger the HYDORGEN bonding. Then, the CONCLUSION is that HF has the strongest hydrogen bonding.

NH3 possess high boiling point. Why??

Answer»

However, ammonia, unlike PHOSPHINE, hashydrogen bonds due to the presence of a covalent bond between hydrogen and HIGHLY electronegative nitrogen with a lone PAIR. Hydrogen bonds are stronger than London DISPERSION FORCES, therefore ammonia hasstronger intermolecular forces and higher boiling point.

How to find the no. of antibonding electron pairs

Answer»

To CALCULATE BOND order in chemistry, subtract the number of the ELECTRONSIN the antibonding molecules from THENUMBER of electrons in the bonding molecules. Divide the result by 2 to getthe result. The higher the bond order, the more stable the molecule.
