18.

Why is a balance between the number of plants and animals essential?

Answer»

HEYA!!
---------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
✔A PROPER balance is the VITAL thing for the EXISTENCE of our environment . There needs to be a proper balance between plants and animals because the increase/ decrease in one will effect the environment severely.

⭐If the population of plants Increase : then more carbon DIOXIDE will be needed by them for preparing their food which may not be fulfilled by the less number of animals .

⭐If the population of plants decrease : there will be less Oxygen produced and less food will be available to the plant eating animals .

⭐If the population of animals Increase : carbon dioxide content will increase in the environment which couldn't be MAINTAINED by less number of plants

⭐If population of animals decrease : there will be increase in number of grasses and pants in the environment. Also less carbon dioxide will be available to the plant.

23.

Why a person suffeting from high blood pressure advised to rake minimum salt?

Answer»

A person suffering from high blood PRESSURE is advised not to take large amounts of salt, this is because the blood contains RBC cells and if we take more amounts of salt then there might be chances that we might end up vomiting. This is due to reverse peristalsis or exosmosis. There is high content of salt in the BODY when compared to the RBC cells in the blood. So the salt causes the cell or RBC to shrink and the contents inside the cell would cause one to throw up. The person would IMMEDIATELY fall sick and may be dehydrated for a long time if it continues.
The RBC would swell up because there is a higher concentration of the solution outside the cell when compared with the solution concentration inside the RBC. So osmosis takes place where water or any solution PASSES from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. The RBC would swell up and would burst because it does not have a cell wall that can counter push the contents inside the cell.
Dried up fruits and vegetables return back to their original state when they are kept in water. This is because the fruits or vegetables are dried up or dehydrated (removing water), so the water concentration is less inside the FRUIT than compared with the water concentration outside the fruits. This process is known as osmosis

24.

Why osmosis is considered as a special case of diffusion?Give 2 examples of osmosis in plant.

Answer»

Osmosis – A SPECIAL Type Of Diffusion. ... Osmosis

  • The movement of water from a DILUTE to a more concentrated solution through a partially permeable membrane that allows the passage of water but not solute molecules.
    Examples of Osmosis

Root System Water INTAKE for Plants. Plantroots function as a semipermeable membrane, allowing water to INFILTRATE the roots. ...SLUGS and Salt. Garden slugs shrivel if you dust them with salt. ...Cell Membrane. ...Contact Lenses.

When and where are primary oocyte formed in a human female trace the development of these inside till ovulation in menstrual cycle how do gonadotropic influence this developmental process?

Answer»

Primary oocyte is formed in OVARY of the female foetus(which will develop into female baby).

At the stage of embroyinc growth the gamete mother cell inside the ovary of foteus undergo meiosis(chromosome number becomes half) but there development stops in prophase and these oocytes are called as primary oocytes. When the girl reaches PUBERTY many primary oocytes degenerate and the leftover become secondary and then tertiary follices and finally graffian follicles and then OVULATION,release egg reaches ampulla.

Gonadotrophins are released from anterior pitiutary,it helps in development of follicles .That releases OESTROGEN and helps in ovulation.LH and FSH are at there peak level to help in ovulation.

36.

What traits are inherited from the cytoplasmic dna?

Answer»

Those traits are KNOWN as cytoplasmic inheritance.

Extra Information:-

➪ It was discovered by Correns.

➪ Inheritance of Characters which are CONTROLLED by cytogene or cytoplasm is called cytoplosmic inheritance.

➪ Total cytogene present in cytoplasm is called Plasmon.

➪ A gene which is located in the nucleus is called karyogene.

➪ Inheritance of cytogene in organisms occurs only through the female. Because female gamete has Karyoplastm, Simultaneously it has cytogene because of more cytoplasm.

➪ The male gamete of higher plant is called male nucleus.

➪ Male nucleus has very minute cytoplasm that's why male gamete is only inherited karyogene.

➪ Thus, inheritance of cytogene occurs only through female.

➪If there is a reciprocal cross in this condition, then results may be aftected.

➪ Cytoplasmic inheritance involving essential organelles LIKE, Chloroplast and MITOCHONDRIA called as organelle inheritance.

What is endocrine system write its types functions and hormones?

Answer»

Heya
______________________

__________________________!!!

■ ENDOCRINE SYSTEM :

==> the body's slow chemical communication system, a set of glands that secrete hormones into the blood stream.

■ HORMONE :

==> A chemical released from living cells that travel some distance to target tissues to have a biological effect.

THE FUNCTION OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HORMONES.
the hormones secreted by hypothalamus:
● THYROTROPHIN HORMONE.
==> stimulates release of THYROID stimulating hormone from anterior pituitary.

● SOMATOSTAIN .
==> prevents relase of hormones such as growth hormone from anterior pituitary gland.

● GONADOTROPHIN .
==> stimulates release of follicle stimulating hormone and luteinsing hormone .

●CORTICOTROPIN .

==> stimulates (ACTH ) hormone release from anterior pituitary.

● GROWTH HORMONE RELEASING HORMONE.
==> stimulates release of growth hormone .

● THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE: ( released from thyroid gland)
==> stimulates release of thyroxine and tri idothyronine from the thyriod gland.

● LUTEINISING HORMONE ( released from ovary / testis.
==> females: PROMOTES ovulation of the egg stimulates oestrogen and progestrone production .
males : promotes testostrone release from the testis .

● FOLLICLE STIMULATING HORMONE ( ovary / testis )
==> females : promotes development of eggs and follicles in the ovary prior to ovulation.
males: promotes production of testosterone from testis.

• hormones released by anterior pituitary gland.
● GROWTH HORMONE.
==> acts to promote growth of bones and organs.
● PROLACTIN.
==> stimulates milk production in the breast and play a role in SEXUAL behaviour.
● ADRENOCORTICOTROPHIC HORMONE.
==> stimulates the ADRENAL glands to produce MAINLY cortisol.

hormones released from posterior pitutairy gland.
● VASOPRESSIN.
==> acts to maintain blood pressure by causing the kidney to retain fluid.
● OXCYTIN
==> causes ejection of milk from the milk ducts .
● PARATHYROID HORMONE;
==> increase blood calcium levels.
● CALCITONIN.
==> decrease blood calcium levels when they are high.

hormones released from adrenal cortex gland.
● CORTISOL.
==> involved in a huge array of physiological functions.
● ALDOSTERONE:
==> acts to maintain blood pressure by causing slats and water retention.
● ADRENALINE AND NORADRENALINE:
==> involved in many physiological systems.

hormones released from pancreas:
●INSULIN

50.

What happens during the translocation stage of translation?

Answer»

Translocation is the MOVEMENT of materials from leaves to other TISSUES throughout the plant. Plants produce carbohydrates (sugars) in their leaves by PHOTOSYNTHESIS, but nonphotosynthetic parts of the plantalso require carbohydrates and other organic and nonorganic materials.

tiny DROPLETS fall from ventral part of leaves
