Why is fish does not breaths in atmosphere

Answer» Fishes have its respiratory organ called gills which function only in water. Firstly, the gills receive O2 rich water. And in gills dense network of blood capillaries is present. When water passes over gills , the gills extract dissolved oxygen in water. The extracted oxygen is absorbed by the blood and carried to all the parts of fish. The carbon dioxide produced by respiration is brought back by the blood into the gills for expelling into the surrounding water.
Because they have gills and they can\'t survive in the atmosphere
because they have gills
Because they do not have lungs
53507.

What are alveoli? Mention their role in respiration

Answer» Alveoli is not a cell , it is the part of our respiratory system . It is bunch of grapes like structure which is give oxygen to blood
Its lungs cell. Its work for bone marrow because the pigments are in our lungs then alveoli works and remove extra pigment which present in our lungs . Because more pigments ( it yellow in colour ) cause jundice means ( pilia).

What js vanlacy

Answer» Valency is combining capacity of an atom
The outermost electron shell of an atom is called valence shell. The electrons present in outermost shell of an atom are called as valence electrons. The valence electron of an atom take part in a chemical reaction because they have more energy than all the inner electrons. For example: Sodium(Z=11)The electronic configuration of sodium isK L M2 8 1Valence Electrons = 1

53515.

What is transloaction why it is essential

Answer» The transport of soluble products of photosynthesis is known as translocation. Translocation in plants occurs by means of the vascular tissue known as phloem. Translocation is necessary because without it, the food prepared by the leaves cannot reach other parts of the plant. In plants, the synthesis of sugars takes place in the leaves by the process of photosynthesis. Hormones are synthesised away from their target site.

Importance of pH scale in day to day life

Answer» Please tell me short answer
1)pH in our digestive system: Our stomach produces hydrochloric acid. This dilute hydrochloric acid helps in digesting our food without harming the stomach. Sometimes excess of acid is produced in the stomach. The excess acid in the stomach causes indigestion which produces pain and irritation. In order to cure indigestion, we can take bases called antacids. Being basic in nature, antacid react with excess acid in the stomach and neutralises it. The two common antacids are Milk of Magnesia (Magnesium Hydroxide)and Sodium Bicarbonate(Baking soda)2)pH change as the cause of tooth decay : When we eat food containing sugar, then the bacteria present in our mouth break down the sugar to form acids. This acid lowers the pH in the mouth. Tooth decay starts when the pH of acid formed in the mouth falls below 5.5.This is because then the acid becomes strong enough to attack the enamel of our teeth and corrode it. This sets in tooth decay. The best way to prevent tooth decay is to clean the mouth thoroughly after eating food.3)Plants and animals are sensitive to pH change: Soil pH and plant growth: Most of the plants grow best when the pH of the soil is close to 7.If the soil is too acidic or basic, the plants grow badly or do not grow at all. The soil pH is also affected by the use of chemical fertilizers in the field. Chemicals can be added to soil to adjust its pH and make it suitable for growing plants. If the soil is too acidic then it is treated with materials like quicklime or slaked lime. If the soil is too alkaline then alkalinity can be reduced by adding decaying organic matter.\xa04)Self Defense by animals and plants through chemical warfare: Many animals and plants protect themselves from enemies by injecting painful and irritating acids and bases into their skin.1)When honey bee stings a person,it injects an acidic liquid into the skin. Rubbing with mild base like baking soda solution on the stung area of the skin gives relief.2)When a wasp stings, it injects an alkaline liquid into the skin. Then rubbing with a mild acid like vinegar on the stung area of the skin gives relief.

What is converging mirror and conerging lens ?

Answer» Converging Lens: Converging lenses are thicker in the centre, and are thinner near the edges. Converging lenses converging light rays together after it has passed through the lens.Converging mirror: A concave mirror, or converging mirror, has a reflecting surface that bulges inward (away from the incident light). Concave mirrors reflect light inward to one focal point. They are used to focus light. These mirrors are called "converging mirrors" because they tend to collect light that falls on them, refocusing parallel incoming rays toward a focus.

Define nutrition , respiration, transportation and excretion

Answer» ?It is the process by which living organism being procured food from obtaining energy and body building materials. ?Excrete on is the process by which metabolic waste is element from an organism.?It can be transfer of food ,water ,minerals, hormons and other substance from one part to another part inside the body of an organism are called transformation.? Respiration it is a physical process of alternate inhalation of fresh air (o2) and exhalation of foul air(co2).
Nutrition:the in take of nutrients by an organism is called nutrition. respiration:the process of oxidation of glucose to prkxuce carbondioxide, water, and energy is called respiration. Transportation:the system that is involved in circulation of minerals etc.,through the speacial structures in the .entire body of all organismsjs called transportation. excretion:the process of removing toxic wastes from our body is called excreation
Nutrition is the process of taking food by an organism and utilization of food for energy.Respiration is the biochemical process in which the cells of an organism obtain energy by combining oxygen and glucose, resulting in the release of carbon dioxide, water, and ATP (the currency of energy in cells). The transport of water, food, minerals ,hormones and other substances from one part to another part inside the body of an organism is called transportation.Excretion is the process by which metabolic waste is eliminated from an organism.

53542.

Describe excretion in plants

Answer» The removal of the wastes from our body through some matabolic activities is called excretion.i n plants the excreation is done in 3ways.they are 1.transpiration:gases exchsnge takes place here.here the wastes are stored in the stomata and the lenticels of an leaf.at the time of exchange this gases come out of here. 2.storing:here the wastages and the dead cells are stored in the bark of the plants. 3. Diffusion: diffusion is a process in which gaseous exchange takes place to high concentrated solution to low concentrated solutions. The wastage of some aquatic plants or diffused threw into the water these are the ways in which the excretion is done in plants
Excretion is the process by which metabolic waste is eliminated from an organism. Excretion in plants can be summarized as follows:Transpiration: Gaseous wastes and water are excreted through stomata, lenticels of the stem, and the outer surface of stems, fruits, etc.Storing: Some organic wastes are stored in plant parts like barks and leaves.Diffusion: Aquatic plants excrete metabolic wastes through diffusion. Terrestrial plants excrete into the soil.

Why we take oxygen only in our body

Answer» Breaking it is physical process of alternate inhalation of fresh air and exhalation of foul air .Foil air is an Co2
No, we don\'t only take oxygen instead we take air comprising of oxygen. It gets detached by the alveoli. And then further transportation takes place
We take in oxygen only in our body because oxygen is brought into the lungs via breathing where it is transported to RBC to the entire body to be used to produce energy

Explain the significance of peristaltic movement that occurs all along the gut during digestion

Answer» Peristalsis facilitates forward movement of food through alimentary canal. This helps the food to reach to different portions of alimentary canal at the right time. Thus, it helps in digestion. Peristalsis also helps in timely clearing of bowel. The lining of canal has muscles that contract rhythmically in order to push the food forward. This is known as Peristaltic movement.
