Why is fish does not breaths in atmosphere |
|
Answer» Fishes have its respiratory organ called gills which function only in water. Firstly, the gills receive O2 rich water. And in gills dense network of blood capillaries is present. When water passes over gills , the gills extract dissolved oxygen in water. The extracted oxygen is absorbed by the blood and carried to all the parts of fish. The carbon dioxide produced by respiration is brought back by the blood into the gills for expelling into the surrounding water. Because they have gills and they can\'t survive in the atmosphere because they have gills Because they do not have lungs |
