|
Answer» Let the length of room = l = 15 mbreadth of room = b mheight of room = h m Cost of matting the floor Re. 0.50 per m²= Rs. 97.50floor area = 97.50/ 0.50 = 195m²⇒ l× b = 195⇒ 15× b = 195⇒ b = 195/15⇒ b = 13 m cost of papering wall Rs. 0.95 per m² = Rs. 212.80wall area is the lateral surface area.wall area = lateral surface area =212.80 / 0.95 = 224 m²⇒ 2h(l+b) = 224⇒ 2h(15+13) = 224⇒ 2h×28= 224⇒ h = 224/(2×28)⇒ h = 4 m Height of room is 4m. |
