nd(c) 100d) 20OngA beggar have some coins of 10 paise, 20 paiseand 01 Rs in the end of the day in the ratio of10 17:7 of 10 paise, 20 paise and 01 Rs. Ifhe had Rs. 57 in the end of the day Then whatis the number of coin of 20 paise?(a) 55(c) 80421 35(b) 60(d) 85s 1s

Answer»

Let no. of 10 paise coins are 10xNo. of 20 paise coins are 17xNo. of 1 Rs coins are 7x

As per given condition.1*10x +.2*17x + 1*7x = 57x + 3.4x + 7x = 5711.4 x = 57x = 570/114 = 10/2x = 5

Number of 20 paise coins = 17*5 = 85

Answer»
13.

Ad The diagonals of a quadrilateral ABCD intersect each other at the point O such that!AOBO DOShow that ABCD is a trapezium.

Answer»

Given: Quadrilateral ABCD in which diagonals AC and BD intersects each other at O such that AO/BO = CO/DO.

To Prove: ABCD is a trapezium

Construction: Through O, draw line EO, where EO || AB, which meets AD at E.

Proof: In ΔDAB, we have

EO || AB

∴ DE/EA = DO/OB ...(i)[By using Basic Proportionality Theorem]

Also, AO/BO = CO/DO (Given)

⇒ AO/CO = BO/DO

⇒ CO/AO = BO/DO

⇒ DO/OB = CO/AO ...(ii)

From equation(i)and(ii), we get

DE/EA = CO/AO

Therefore, By using converse of Basic Proportionality Theorem, EO || DC also EO || AB

⇒ AB || DC.

Hence, quadrilateral ABCD is a trapezium with AB || CD.

x 20 m measurement is filled into a cy1fthe water fills the cylinder completely then find out howThe water from the root of 22m x. Prove that:

Answer»

Volume of roof= l x b x h= 22X20 X h

height of roof= height of rainfall

volume of cylinder= 22/ 7 x 1x1 x35/10

andvolume of water on roof = volume ofWater in cylindrical tank

22 X 20 X h = 22/7 1 x 1x35/1022 X 20 X h = 11h = 11/440h = 1/40 mh = 0.025 m= 2.5 cm

how many rotations would a cycle wheel of diameter 1.6m make to cover. A distance of 352m?

Answer»

Given that :the diameter of wheel of cycle = 1.6m

we have to find:how many revolution the wheel of cycle make covering a distance of 352 m

solution:-the Radius of wheel = 1.6/2 = 0.8 m

and the circumference of wheel = 2πr = 2π×0.8 => 1.6 × 22/7 = 5.02857143 m

now, the number of revolution by wheel covering a distance 352 m = 352/ 5.02857143= 70 rounds Answer
