The electrical energy produced in 30 days is 1.3×1013 J. The power of source is x MJ then x is

Answer»

Energy consumed in 1 day:- (1.3 × 1013 / 30) J

Power of the source = (1.3 × 1013 / 30 × 24 × 3600 × 106)

=(13 × 1012 / 30 × 24 × 3600 × 106)

= 13 ×109 / 2592 × 106

= 0.005 × 103

= 5 MW

∴ Psource = 5 MW ... (1)

But, Psource = X MW ... (2) {Given}

Equating (1) and (2) we get,

x MW = 5 MW

A solar plate is rectangular in shape (2.5×2.0)m2, which generates an electric current of 2 Amp through a circuit of 100Ω. The efficiency of solar plate be n then calculate n/5.Solar constant =1400 W/m2

Answer»

Pout of solar plate = I2R

Pout of solar plate = 2 × 2 × 100 W

Pin of solar plate = 200 × 2.5 × 2

Efficiency = Pout / Pin

Efficiency = 2 × 2 × 100 / 200 × 5 =  40%

n/5 = 40 × 1/5 = 8

So n/5 = 8

15 October 2020
The Station House Officer
Police Station, Bhilwara

Subject: Frequent chain snatching and eve-teasing

Dear Sir,

Our region has been under a continuous grip of chain snatchers and eve teasers. Three incidents in the last two months took place where miscreants came on the bikes and snatched a chain of an old woman going by a rickshaw, another case was with a working lady entering her office and the third case was of a college girl. Every time the complaint was registered but the snatchers are still out of the bars.
On the other hand, the incidents of eve-teasing have suddenly increased as nowadays groups of teasers can be frequently spotted at the road corners, bus-stops, girls’ colleges. All this is very scary for the girls. This can only be curbed by strict action. I request you to pay attention to our problem and resolve it.

Yours faithfully
Shruti
