Compare the democratic system of China with mexico

Answer» The Chinese support the Communist Party and feel that the Western style democracy is incompatible with traditionalist Chinese culture. According to them, government is legitimate not when people influence it but when it represents their highest interests. After the death of Mao Zedong in 1976, some democratic reforms have taken place in China. The Chinese Communist Party holds a monopoly on political power and decisions are made by a few elite leaders chosen from the Communist Party. In Mexico political activity takes place within a framework of a federal presidential representative democratic republic. Discuss different significant between Himalaya and peninsula plateau

Answer» Himalayan river- they are perennial in nature. they are fed by snow and rain. they originate from glaciers. peninsular rivers- they are seasonal in nature. they are only fed by rain. most of these rivers originate from springs. ( In simple words)
The Himalayan and the Peninsular rivers are different from each other in many ways. The Himalayan rivers originate from the Himalayas. The peninsular rivers originate from the mountains and the hills that are located in or around the Peninsular Plateau. Significant difference between Himalayan and Peninsular rivers is that while the former are perennial rivers, the latter are seasonal. The Himalayan rivers have water throughout the year. They receive water from rain as well as from melted snow from the lofty mountains. On the other hand, the flow of Peninsular rivers is dependent upon rainfall. During the dry season, even the large rivers have reduced flow of water in their channels.Since the Himalayan rivers have longer courses, erosion activity is more and the rivers carry down alluvial silt that they deposit in the plains. The peninsular rivers have shorter and swifter courses and so carry down less sediment. The drainage basins of the peninsular rivers are comparatively smaller in size.Examples of the Himalayan rivers are the Ganga, Indus, Brahmaputra etc while the Godavari, Narmada, Tapi etc are examples of Peninsular rivers.

Describe the circumstances leading to the outbreak of revolutionary protest in France?

Answer» Following circumstances led to the outbreak of revolutionary protest in France:1. Inequality in the French Society- The eighteenth-century French society was divided into three estates namely; the Clergy, the Nobility, and the third estate. First, two estates were given certain privileges by birth, while the third estate was forced to pay heavy taxes and did not enjoy any privileges.2. Political issues- King Louis XVI was considered to be a weak king who was influenced by his queen. On several occasions, the king displayed his inability to take strong decisions and was seen pursuing his interests over his people.3. Survival crisis- The population of France grew from 23 million in 1715 to 28 million in 1789, which resulted in great demand for food grains. The prices of food grains went up, and the wages and salaries given to the labourers were insufficient. This led to a severe crisis where people realized that their survival is in danger.4. Influence of American Revolutionaries- The French Society was introduced to revolutionary ideas by American society. Freedom for all was demanded and people advocated for Republic over Monarchy. The revolutionary ideas of Americans influenced the French people.5. Strong Middle class- Revolutionary ideas attracted the French society, and eventually, a new educated middle-class society emerged. People challenged the absolute rule of the King and demanded a liberal society and unrestricted trade.6. Economic issues- On 5th May 1789, King Louis XVI called a meeting with the representatives of all the three estates to levy additional taxes on the members of the third estate and they did not like the idea and voted against it. The king rejected their appeal which led to protests and marches against the King.

Write the shorte note on guantanamo bay

Answer» PRISON IN GUANTANAMO BAY About 600 people were secretly picked up by the US forces from all over the world and put in a prison in Guantanamo Bay, an area near Cuba controlled by American Navy. The American government said that they were enemies of the US and linked to the attack on New York on 11 September 2001. In most cases the governments of their countries were not asked or even informed about their imprisonment. Families of prisoners, media or even UN representatives were not allowed to meet them. The US army arrested them, interrogated them and decided whether to keep them there or not. There was no trial before any magistrate in the US. Nor could these prisoners approach courts in their own country. Amnesty Interenational, an interentaional human rights organisation, collected information on the condition of the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and reported that the prisoners were being tortured in ways that violated the US laws. They were being denied the treatment that even prisoners of war must get as per international treaties. Many prisoners had tried protesting against these conditions by going on a hunger fast. Prisoners were not released even after they were officially declared not guilty. An independent inquiry by the UN supported these findings. The UN Secretary General said that the prison in Guantanamo Bay should be closed down.\xa0
