Find the greatest six digit number exactly divisible by 24,15and36

Answer»

Heya !!

Here's your answer.. ⬇⬇

GREATEST six digit no. is = 999999

Find L.C.M of 24, 15 and 36.

24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

15 = 3 × 5

36 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

L.C.M = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 5

= 360

Now, divide 999999 by 360

= 999999/360
= 2777.777..
= 2777 ( approx. )

Multiplying L.C.M 360 by 2777 we GET..

= 2777 × 360
= 972220

Now,

972220/24 = 41655

972220/15 = 66648

972220/36 = 27770

972220 is divisible by 15, 24, and 36.

972220 is the greatest no. divisible by 15, 24 and 36.

In a trangle abc, ab=15cm,bc=13cm and ac=14cm. Find its area and hence it's altitude on ac

Answer»

S = (15 + 13 + 14)/2 = 21

Now APPLY herons formula

\sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

\sqrt{21(21 - 15)(21 - 13)(21 - 14)}

\sqrt{21 \times 6 \times 8 \times 7}

\sqrt{3 \times 7 \times 3 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 7}

area = 84cm {}^{2}

Area = 1/2 × b × H

84 = 1/2 × 14 × h

(84 × 2)/14 = h

h = 12 cm

If one zero of quadratic polynomial 4x²-8kx-9 os negative of the other find the value of k

Answer»

Answer :-

→ k = 0 .

Step-by-step explanation :-

It is GIVEN that,

→ One zeros of the given polynomial is NEGATIVE of the other .

Let one zero of the given polynomial be x .

Then, the other zero is -x .

•°• Sum of zeros = x + ( - x ) = 0 .

Can you answer this? total salary of three persons a,b and c is rs. 1,44,000. they spend 80%, 85% and 75% respectively. if their savings are in the ratio 8 : 9 : 20, find c\\\'s salary. (a) 48000 (b) 64000 (c) 40000 (d) 32000

Answer» TOTAL salary = 144000
SAVINGS percentage of A = 100-80=20%
savings  percentage of B =100-85=15%
savings percentage of C = 100-75=25%
savings of A =8x
Savings of B= 9x
Savings of C = 20X
20% × A salary /100= 8x         a's salary = 100/20×8x = 40x
15% × B salary /100= 9x         b's salary = 100/15×9 X = 60x
25%of C salary /100= 20x       c's salary = 100/25×20x = 80x

40x + 60x+ 80x = 144000
180x = 144000
x = 800

So C's salary = 80 × 800 = 64000

The diagonal of a rectangular field is 60 metres more than the shorter side. If the longer side is 30 metres more than the shorter side, find the length of the sides of the field.

Answer»

LET the shorter side of the rectangular field be 'x' meters.

Therefore the LONGER side will be (x + 30) meters.

And the LENGTH of the diagonal will be (x + 60) meters.

Now, according to the question,

The diagonal divides the rectangular into two right angledtriangles and the diagonal is the common side of the two triangles and it isalso the LONGEST side of the triangles i.e. the hypotenuse.

So, by Pythagoras Theorem,

(Diagonal)² = (Smaller Side)² + (Longer Side)²

(x + 60)² = (x)² + (x + 30)²

x² + 120x + 3600 = x² + x² + 60x + 900

x² + 60x - 120x + 900 - 3600 = 0

x² - 60x - 2700 = 0

x² - 90x + 30x - 2700 = 0

x(x - 90) + 30(x - 90) = 0

(x - 90) (x + 30) = 0

x = 90 because x = - 30 as length cannot be possible.

So the length of the shorter side is 90 meters and thelength of the longer side is 90 + 30 = 120 meters.

There’s an alternate method too:

Let the shorter side of the rectangle be x m.
Then, larger side of the rectangle = (x + 30) m

⇒ x2 + (x + 30)2 = (x + 60)2
⇒ x2 + x2 + 900 + 60x = x2 + 3600 + 120x
⇒ x2 - 60x - 2700 = 0
⇒ x2 - 90x + 30x - 2700 = 0
⇒ x(x - 90) + 30(x -90)
⇒ (x - 90)(x + 30) = 0
⇒ x = 90, -30
However, side cannot be negative. Therefore, the length ofthe shorter side will be 90 m.
Hence, length of the larger side will be (90 + 30) m = 120 m.

Hope This Helps :)

9th term of an ap is zero prove that its 29th term is double of its 19 th term

Answer»

According to question

T9 = 0

let a is the first term of A.p. and d is difference

=> a + 8d = 9 ......(1)

now

T19 = a + 18d

= (a + 8d) +10d

put value (a+8d) from equation (1)

= 0+ 10d

T19 = 10d ....(2)

same as

T29 = a + 28d

= (a+ 8d) + 20d

= 0 + 20d

T29 = 20d .....(3)

now from equation (2)& (3) we can say that

T29 = 2(10d)

T29 = 2(T19) →that's proved ......

Answer»

GIVEN,

Investment = RS. 8800

FV = Rs. 100

Premium = 10 %

So,

MV = 100 + 10%100

MV = 100 + 10

MV = Rs. 110

Number of SHARES = Investment \ MV on one share

Number of shares =8800 / 110

Number of shares = 80.

2)--

Dividend = Rs. 1200

Annual dividend = (Number of shares × Dividend % × FV) \100

Annual dividend = 80 × DIVIDENT % × 100 /100

1200= 80 × Divident %

1200 /80 = Dividend %

Answer»

Heya DEAR,

here IZ your answer

Let the the 3 NUMBERS to be

x , x+11 , x+22

now ATQ

sum of these CONSECUTIVE numbers is 363

so,

x+x+11×x+22 = 363

3x + 33 = 363
