Two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 24 cm and 18 cm. If the distance betweenlonger sides is 12 cm, find the distance between shorter sides.**steps required**

Answer»

Given :-

  • Adjacent sides parallelogram = 24cm & 18cm
  • Distance between LONGER sides = 12cm

We need to find :-

  • Distance between shorter sides = ?

Solution :-

Let the distance between the shorter side be ‘x’

Lets take a parallelogram ABCD with base AB & base BC . However it has two bases so there will be two heights & let POINT E be the mid point of AB & point F be the mid point of BC . So the height will be DE & DF

And here

  • DE is the distance between longer sides = 12
  • DF is the distance between shorter sides = x

Now as we know that

Area = Base × Height

→ Area = AB × DE

→ Area = 24 × 12

→ Area = 288cm² ....EQ(1)

♦ Area = BC × DF

♦ Area = 18 ( x )

♦ Area = 18x cm² ….eq(2)

By eq(1 & 2)

⇒ 288 = 18x

⇒ x = 288/18

⇒ x = 16cm = distance between shorter sides

Hence , distance between shorter sides = 16cm

Given, 15cotA =8 find all trigonometric ratios of angles A

Answer»

Answer :-

  • 15/17 , 8/17 , 15/8 , 17/15 , 17/8

Given :-

  • 15cotA = 8

To Find :-

  • All trigonometric ratios of ANGLE A.

Solution :-

[ REFER TO THE ATTACHMENT ]

→ 15cotA = 8

→ cotA = 8/15 = b/p = BC/AB

From Pythagoras theorem

⇒ AC² = AB² + BC²

⇒ AC² = (15)² + (8)²

⇒ AC² = 225 + 64

⇒ AC² = 289

⇒ AC = √289

⇒ AC = 17

Now

  • sinA = p/h = AB/AC = 15/17
  • cosA = b/h = BC/AC = 8/17
  • tanA = p/b = AB/BC = 15/8
  • cosecA = h/p =AC/AB = 17/15
  • secA = h/b = AC/BC = 17/8

Where

  • p = perpendicular
  • b = base
  • h = hypotenuse

1) find difference between two CONTINUOUS no.

2) add odd no. In series

For example..

Difference between 9 and 6 is 3 and first odd no. Is 1 so

9+3=12

12+1=13

Now..for second no. Next odd no. Is 3 so we have to do sum of 3 with 1 i.e. 3+1=4 so

13-9=4 difference

13+4=17+4=11

Remember odd no. Have to add with last adding no.

So.. 9+3=12+1=13. (diff. BET. 6 nd 9 is 3)

13+4=17+4=21. (diff.bet.13 nd 9 is 4 )(1+3=4)

21+8=29+9=38 ( diff.bet.13 nd 21 is8)(4+5=9)

38+17=55+16=71 (diff.bet.38 nd 21 is 17)(9+7=16)

71+33=104+25=129 (diff.bet.38 nd 71 is 33)(16+9=25)

Find the sales price if the cost is $1200 and loss percent is 25

Answer»

Given:-

  • Cost price(C.P) = Rs. 1200
  • Loss % = 25

To FIND:-

  • Find the selling price (S.P) ..?

Solution:-

We have,

The cost price is rupees 1200 and loss percent is 25.

we know that,

The selling price.

=> S.P = (100 - Loss%)/100 × C.P

According to QUESTION:-

=> S.P = (100 - 25)/100 × 1200

=> S.P = 75/100 × 1200

=> S.P = 75 × 12

=> S.P = 900

  • The selling price = Rs. 900

Hence, the selling price is Rs. 900.

Some Important:-

Profit:-

  • Profit = S.P - C.P
  • S.P = C.P + Profit
  • C.P = S.P - Profit

Profit% = (Profit/C.P) × 100

Loss:-

  • Loss% = C.P - S.P
  • C.P = S.P + Loss
  • S.P = C.P - Loss

Loss% = (Loss/C.P) × 100

Rationalize the denominator of 3√2/3√2-2√3

Answer»

Answer :

= 3 + √6

Step-by-step explanation :

       \underline{\underline{\bf <klux>RATIONALIZING</klux> \ factor:}}

 \bigstar   The factor of multiplication by which rationalization is done, is CALLED as rationalizing factor.

 \bigstar   If the product of two surds is a RATIONAL NUMBER, then each surd is a rationalizing factor to other.

 \bigstar   For EXAMPLE, rationalizing factor of (3 + √2) is (3 - √2)

___________________________

\bf =\frac{3\sqrt{2}}{3\sqrt{2}-2\sqrt{3}}

Rationalizing factor = 3√2 + 2√3

\bf =\frac{3\sqrt{2}}{3\sqrt{2}-2\sqrt{3}} \times \frac{3\sqrt{2}+2\sqrt{3}}{3\sqrt{2}+2\sqrt{3}} \\\\\\ =\frac{3\sqrt{2}(3\sqrt{2}+2\sqrt{3})}{(3\sqrt{2}-2\sqrt{3})(3\sqrt{2}+2\sqrt{3})} \\\\\\ =\frac{9(\sqrt{2})^2+6\sqrt{6}}{(3\sqrt{2})^2-(2\sqrt{3})^2} \\\\\\ =\frac{9(2)+6\sqrt{6}}{9(2)-4(3)} \\\\\\ =\frac{18+6\sqrt{6}}{18-12} \\\\\\ =\frac{6(3+\sqrt{6})}{6} \\\\\\ =3+\sqrt{6}
