Classification of fusion WELDING PROCESSES based on energy SOURCE, thermal source, mechanical loading and shielding.Fusion welding is a generic term for welding processes that rely on MELTING to join materials of similar COMPOSITIONS and melting points.Due to the high-temperature phase transitions inherent to these

5.

What is the purpose of an auxiliary complexing agent?

Answer»

An auxiliary complexing AGENT is added to an EDTA titration to prevent hydroxide formation. This is added where ONE of the solutions of titration is a metal cation. This bond between the agent and the metal is important. It MUST be strong enough to prevent the hydroxide from PRECIPITATING but at the same time weak enough to release the cation when EDTA is added.

Hope that answers your question :)

Fluidized bed chemical reactors chemical equation

Answer»

Hey

DUDE

here is your answer

A fluidized bed reactor (FBR) is a TYPE of reactor device that can be used to carry out a variety of multiphase chemical reactions. In this type of reactor, a fluid (gas or liquid) is passed through a solid GRANULAR material (usually a catalyst possibly shaped as tiny spheres) at high enough velocities to suspend the solid and cause it to behave as though it were a fluid. This process, known as fluidization, imparts many important ADVANTAGES to the FBR. As a result, the fluidized bed reactor is now used in many industrial applications.

Bonjour ^-^State the name of all four type of quantum numbers. GIVE three points on principal quantum no. Thanks ☺

Answer»

Hey sisy .....☺

Here's ur ans.⤵

↪ Four types of quantum no. are ⬇

✡ Principal Quantum no.

✡ Azimuthal Quantum no.

MAGNETIC Quantum no.

✡Spin quantum no.

-------------------------------------------------

➡ Principal Quantum no.

↪ It is DENOTED by 'n'

13.

Bonjour ^-^Write the configuration of Bromine according to aufbav rule .State it's block , period no. , group no. and spin Multiciplity. Is it paramagnetic or diamagnetic ?Thanks ☺

Answer» HEY sis .....☺

Here's ur ans.⬇

Atomic no. of Bromine = 35

THEREFORE it's configuration = 1s^2 2s^2. 2p^6 3s^2. 3p^6. 4s^2. 3d^10. 4p^5

No. of unpaired electrons = 1

↪ Block = p
↪Period no. = 4
↪Group no. = (nse + npe)+ 10 = 17

↪Spin Multiciplity = 2|s| +1
= 2 × 1/2 + 1
= 2

It is PARAMAGNETIC as it has unpaired electrons .

Hope u understand ....

Answer» C because it can do that EASILY
16.

Bonjour ^-^Pls explain Hund's Rule of Maximum Multiciplity .I don't need copied ans. from Google Thanks

Answer»

Hey dearie.....^_^

Here's ur ans.⤵

Hund's Rule of Maximum Multiciplity ⬇

According to this rule pairing of electrons in an atom (2 or more than it) will not take place until all the orbitals are SINGLY occupied or HALF filled .

Spin Multiciplity = 2|s| + 1

where s = Multiciplity
n = no. of UNPAIRED electrons

Then spin of electrons must be parallel.

✌Hope it helps sisy ☺

Short note on infrared spectroscopy theory

Answer»

Infrared spectroscopy is an important analytical technique for determining the STRUCTURE of both inorganic & organic compounds. It is also known as vibrational spectroscopy IR radiations lies in the wavelength RANGE of 0.7 - 400 µm.

Molecular vibrational frequencies lie in the IR region of the electromagnetic spectrum, and they can be measured using the IR technique. ... For a molecule to be IR active there must be a change in dipole moment as a result of the vibration that occurs when IR radiation is absorbed.

37.

A hydrocarbon contains 82.8%of carbon . Find it's molecular formula if vapor density is 29

Answer» 1. Vapour Density = Molar mass of gasMolar mass of H229 =M2Molar mass of compound = 58

2. The gas contains 82.8% of C and 17.2% of H.

 ATOMIC mass of C = 12
Atomic mass of H = 2

So, NUMBER of MOLES of C = 82.812=6.9
     Number of moles of H = 17.21=17.2
3. Simplest ratio :
   C = 6.96.9=1
  H = 17.26.9=2.4 ≈2
So, MOLECULAR mass is C4H10.

38.

39.

How can we identify "iso" groups?

Answer»

In COMMON USE, an "ISO File" is a file that contains the complete image of a disc. Such files are often used when transferring CD/DVD IMAGES over the Internet.

Depending on who you're talking to, "ISO File" may refer to all disc image files or only CERTAIN KINDS.

40.

Lassaigns test is not shown by diazonium salt because

Answer»

Diazonium salts are stable only at LOW temperatures (0-50 C). At higher temperatures, they decompose to give nitrogen. In Lassaigne's test, the organic compound is converted from covalent form to ionic form by fusing it with sodium metal. THUS, the diazonium salt will decompose and lose nitrogen MUCH before being fused with sodium metal. If nitrogen is lost, then NaCN will not be formed and HENCE the compound will not give positive test for nitrogen.

Thus, diazonium salts do not give Lassaigne's test.

41.

Oxidation numbers of elements with examples

Answer»

The sum of the oxidation no. in a pplyatomic ion is equal to the CHARGE on the ion. the oxidation no of sulphur ATOM in the so4 -2 ion MUST be +6 for example because THESUM of oxidation of atom in this must equal -2

42.

Why covalent compounds have absence of free ions ?

Answer»

Because all the ELECTRONS r =LY SHARED by all the ATOMS. So there is no free electrons or ions.

43.

One of the cell is connected wrongly the equivalent emf and effective internal resistance of combination is

Answer»

In series
There arises 2 CASES:
Identical cells. Non-identical cells
In both cases NET INTERNAL resistance is the same.
In the first case net emf will be 0 and in the second case net emf will be ( emf of CELL with greater emf)-(emf of cell with lesser emf)
In parallel
It is simply by the equation,
Enet= (E1/r1+E2/r2.........En/rn)/(1/r1+1/r2.....1/rn)
Net internal resistance will be the same when u connect them in parallel.

49.

How to identify one compound a lewis acid or lewis basr?

Answer»

It is based on the bond between the atoms of the compounds in a given reaction.
Eg:
:NH3+BF3=NH3---->BF3
This is type of coordinate covalent bond where the lone pair of NH3 is equally shared by NH3 as well as BF3. We know that electrons acceptors are Lewis ACID and Lewis BASE are electrons.donor.Therefore in the above EQUATION, NH3 is a Lewis base and BF3 is a Lewis acid.
