The product of the following reaction : CH2 = CH – CCl3 + HBr(a) CH3 – CH(Br) – CCl3 (b) CH2(Br) – CH2 – CCl3 (c) BrCH2 – CHCl – CHCl2 (d) CH3 – CH2 – CCl3

Answer»

Answer: The correct answer is (a).

EXPLANATION:

CH_2=CH-CCl_3 +\overset{HBr}\rightarrow CH_3-CH(Br)-CCl_3

Given REACTION is in the PRESENCE of hydrogen bromide which means that addition of proton and bromide ion will take place in ACCORDANCE with Markovnikov's rule. That is proton from HBr will get bonded to the carbon atom where more number hydrogen atoms are present and bromide ion will get bonded to stable carbo-cation.

Markovnikov's rule states that during addition reaction in ALKENES, stable carbo-cation will form and proton will get attached to that carbon  atom which have more number of hydrogen atoms.

Hence,the correct answer is (a).

Which shows anamalous expansion

Answer»

HIYA !

HERE'S THE ANSWER .....

when water is cooled from room temperature , it first contracts in VOLUME and becomes increasingly dense as other LIQUIDS do ...........this freezing goes until water reaches 0oC i.e it becomes ice ...

-----------------

The anomalous expansion of water is an abnormal property of water whereby it expands INSTEAD of contracting when the temperature goes from 4OC to 0oC, and it becomes less dense. The density becomes less and less as it freezes because molecules of water normally FORM open crystal structures when in solid form

Answer»

So, if we put n = 4 in the general FORMULA CnH2n +1OH then the molecular formula of the fourth MEMBER of the homologous SERIES will BECOME C4H2 * 4 + 1OH or C4H9OH.

So, if we put n = 5 in the general formula CnH2n + 1OH, then the molecular formula of the fifth member of the alcohol series will become C5H2 * 5 + 1OH or C5H11OH.So, if we put n = 5 in the general formula CnH2n + 1OH, then the molecular formula of the fifth member of the alcohol series will become C5H2 * 5 + 1OH or C5H11OH.

46.

Calculate mole fraction of HCL in a solution containing 24.8 % of HCL by mass

Answer»

Hey dude your answer is!!!!!!
==============÷==================÷=======

mole fraction = (MOLES of SOLUTE)/(moles of solute + moles of solvent)

So, we have to ALWAYS assume (unless otherwise stated) that we have 100g of total mass. This means that we have 24.8g of HCl. On mol of HCl is 36.45g. So to find moles, we take 24.8/36.45 which gives us .68 moles of HCl. Now, 100-24.8 will give us how much water we have. Since we have 75.2 grams of water, we can now find the total moles of water. 75.2/18(WEIGHT of one mol of water)=4.18 moles.

Back to our original equation..

(.68)/(.68+4.18)= about .14.

50.

how much amount of CaCO3 in gram having percentage purity 50% produces 0.56l of CO2 at STP on heating?

Answer»

Hey dude your ANSWER is

=============================

At STP, any gas has volume 22.4L for 1mol.

So, 0.56L of CO2 = 1×0.5622.4=0.025 mol
Now, the reaction is:
CaCO3 ⇌ CaO+CO2Reaction stoichiometryCompound          Coefficient         Molar Mass         Moles          WeightCaCO3                         1                          100                0.025           2.50CaO                              1                            56                0.025           1.40CO2                               1                            44                0.025           1.10

So, the real amount of CaCO3 = 2.5 g
But, since the SAMPLE is 50% pure, so actual amount of CaCO3 = 5g
Hope it helps you plzz MARK as brainliest
