What is physical change ??????????? |
Answer» PHYSICAL CHANGEPhysical changes are changes affecting the FORM of a chemical substance, but not its chemical composition. Physical changes are used to SEPARATE mixtures into their component compounds, but can not usually be used to separate compounds into chemical elements or simpler compounds.Physical changes occur when objects or substances undergo a change that does not change their chemical composition. This contrasts with the concept of chemical change in which the composition of a substance changes or one or more substances combine or break up to form new substances. In general a physical change is REVERSIBLE using physical means. For example, salt dissolved in water can be recovered by allowing the water to evaporate.A physical change involves a change in physical properties. Examples of physical properties include melting, transition to a gas, change of strength, change of durability, changes to CRYSTAL form, textural change, SHAPE, size, color, volume and density. An example of a physical change is the process of tempering steel to form a knife blade. A steel blank is repeatedly heated and hammered which changes the hardness of the steel, its flexibility and its ability to maintain a sharp edge. |

Thalassemia major why is it occur?colourblind ness genotype |
|
Answer» Thalassemia is an autosomal linked RECESSIVE disease which is transmitted from parents to their young one when both the parents are unaffected carrier for the gene, or they MAY be heterozygous. It is qualitative defect in which ultimately result in REDUCE rate of synthesis of normal hemoglobin. Human hemoglobin has four chain 2 alpha and 2 Beta. Two beta chains are identicle. On this basis their are two types of beta thalassemia . Beta Minor thalassemia - The INDIVIDUAL has only one copy of the beta thalassemia gene and other is affected. Beta Major thalassemia-when both beta chains are affected and no normal beta chain occurs. 2. Colorblindness genotype - It is sex linked recessive disorder. The defect is due to mutation in some GENES present in X chromosome. So, indivdual with genotype (XXc) - female carrier (XcXc)- female affected (XYc)- male affected |

Hey matesGd mrngPlzz help me in this questiondesign an experiment to demonstrate hydrotropism |
|
Answer» Hydrotropism is the PROCESS of growth or movement of roots towards the source of WATER. Here is an experiment that is performed to observe the growth of plants when water is present. Procedure Take two beakers 1 and 2. In beaker 1 add moist soil and sow the seeds. In beaker 2 add dry soil in one part and moist soil in another part and sow the seeds. Also, PLACE a small beaker of water just adjacent to it. Keep it for some TIME so that the plants can grow. Result It was found that in beaker 1 due to the presence of moist soil, plants will grow normally and roots will be straight. In beaker 2 it was observed that the presence of water beaker next to its plant GROWS towards the water as shown in the above figure. Conclusion This experiment states that the plants move and grows towards the source of water, hence plants show hydrotropism.
