Why does calcium float in water ????? |
|
Answer» Question is wrong The calcium start floating on water because of the hydrogen bubbles that stick on the metal that enables the metal to float on water The reaction of calcium in water is not violent. So, the heat released is not sufficient for the hydrogen to catch fire. Calicium starts floating because bubbles of hydrogen gas which are formed during the reaction stick to the surface of the metal and hence calcium floats on water. When calcium reacts with water, hydrogen gas is evolved which sticks in calcium and calcium starts floating.. Calcium starts floating in water because the hyadrogen bubbles formed in the reaction gets stick to the surface of the metal . |

Diff between food chain and food web?? |
|
Answer» Food chain is a flow of energy from one tropic level to another. It is unidirectional. And food web is a interconnection of various food chains. It maintain the ecological stability. A sequential process of one organism eating the other and itself being eaten by another in turn.. Food Web is an interrelationship b/w organism which eats several types of organisms and r eaten by many different organisms.. Thx phajathoi Series of organisms feeding on one another(in a straight line) forms a food chain whereas a food web is a series of branching lines(consisting of many food chains) |

Differntiate between veins and arteries? |
|
Answer» Veins are the vessels which carry blood from different body parts to the heart, they carry de-oxygenated (CO2 rich) blood, they have thin walls.Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from heart to various organs of the body, they carry oxygenated (O2 rich) blood, they have thick, elastic walls. Arteries (i) carry oxygenated blood(ii) have thick, elastic walls(iii) have no valves and(iv) are deep seated.... Valves (i) carry deoxy blood (ii) have thin walls (iii) have valves to prevent backflow of blood and (iv) are superficial.. Arteries carries oxygnated blood to all parts of body.Veins carries deoxygnated blood from body parts to heart for oxygenation |

Explain working of human heart? |
|
Answer» The heart is a muscular organ and has four different chambers( atria and ventricles)Firstly oxygen rich blood from the lungs comes to the upper left chamber, left atrium,a thin walled chamber, the left atrium relaxes while collecting the blood. Then, it contracts while the left ventricle expands and the blood is transferred to it. The blood is then pumped out to the body. De-oxygenated blood comes from the body to the upper right chamber, the right atrium, as it expands. As it contracts, the right ventricle dilates and the blood is transferred to the right ventricle ,which pumps the blood to the lungs for oxygenation. And the cycle continues~it\'s long? Human heart has four main parts right and left auricle and left and right ventricle.impure blood from diff parts of body brought to left auricle by upper vena cava ,from left auricle impure blood goes to lung by pulmonary artery for purification .the pure blood from lungs to right auricle and then to right ventricle .from right ventricle it is supplied to all parts of body. |

Why is simple copying the DNA in a dividing cell not enough to maintain continuity of life? |
| Answer» Simply copying the DNA is not enough to maintain the continuity of life. There are many other requirements also.Reproduction which is a complex process ensures continuity of life. Cell division is the most essential step in reproduction.Copying DNA is one of the step in cell division, beside this, there are other steps also in cell division. Cells not only require DNA but they also require the whole cellular machinery to maintain life. So other cellular apparatus are also needed with DNA.\xa0 | |
