the wire of length L and cross sectional area a is stretched to double its length find its new resistance

Answer»

Given old AREA of crossection = a
old length= l
now wire stretched length become 2l and rho be resistivity of material
since
New volume = old volume
new area of crossection * new length = old area of crossection * old length
=> new area of crossection = a*l/2l
= a/2
old RESISTANCE (r) = rho l/a
new resistance = rho 2l/(a/2)
= 4 rho *l/a
= 4r
thus new resistance become 4 TIMES of old resistance

4158.

Please solve this fast

Answer»

I am solving 6th one:

The DISTANCE which is given to us during the first part = 10 km
The speed given to us during the first part = 30kmph

Now you can FIND out the time taken for it by dividing distance by speed.

T1= 10/30 = 1/3 hr
Similarily T2 can be found out by divinding 40 by 50
T2= 40/50= 4/5 hr

Now what is average speed it is the ratio of total DISTSNCE travelled to total time taken.

Putting the values=50/ 1/3+4/5
50/17/15
50*15/17 = 44.11kmph

I am attaching the SOLUTION also.

When a horizontal force P acts on a cart of mass 2kg, it moves with a uniform acceleration on a horizontal floor. When a force of 1.2P acts on the cart, it moves with an acceleration of 0.05m/s^2. Find the value of P

Answer»

Given :-

When a horizontal force P acts on a cart of mass 20 kg,it moves with a uniform velocity on a horizontal FLOOR. When a force of 1.2P acts on the cart, it moves with an acceleration of 0.05 metre per second square. Find the value of P.

Solution :-

  • SINCE in the first case the body moves with a uniform velocity , the resultant force on it in the horizontal DIRECTION must be zero .

H + force of friction = 0

or , force of friction = -H.

  • In the second case , the net horizontal force is ( 1.5 H - H ) = 0.5H.

Applying Newton's second law ,

→ F = ma

→ 0.5 H = 50 kg × 0.1 m/s²

→ H = ( 50 kg × 0.1 m/s² ) / 0.5 = 10 N .

Thank You !

if any objects thrown from the ground in upward direction with a speed of 9.8 metre per second then what happens to a body after 1 second only intelligent ans this qus

Answer»

I didn't understand what you are SAYING?

literally the speed of ball will continuously decrease due to gravitational force which is continuously acting on the object. At a POINT of time the speed of ball BECOMES zero due to the gravitational force but later it falls back because now the gravitational force is SUPPORTING the motion of the ball & the speed of the continuously increase until it hit the ground
