On increasing the radius of a sphere by 10%, find the percent increase in its volume.A

Answer»

Let r is radius of sphereThen,Volume of sphere v = 4/3*pi*(r)^3

If radius is increased by 5 % then r1 = r(1 + 5/100) = 21r/20

Then volume of sphere will become v1 = 4/3*pi*(21r/20)^3= 4/3*pi*(1.157 r^3)

Therefore, Percentage increase in volume = [(v1 - v)/v]*100= [(4/3*pi*(1.157r^3) - 4/3*pi*r^3) /4/3*pi*r^3] * 100= (1.157 - 1)*100= 15.7%

Average of 10 matches = 32 runs

So, total runs = Average runs * Number of matches

= 32 * 10

= 320 runs

If average was of 4 more runs, then average = 32 + 4 = 36 runs

So, total runs = Average runs * Number of matches;

= 36 * 10 ( as the number of matches remains the same)

= 360 runs

Difference in total runs = 360 - 320 = 40 runs

Answer: 40 more runs should be scored in order to increase the average by 4 runs. OR 360 runs should be scored in order to increase the average runs by 4 runs.

Ali AbdularAbdul and Avi each gave Anita 80 120 and 100 respectively. Anita putin 300 and boughts. colours, etc. Together they made greeting cards and sold them all. If they made a profit of000, what was each one's share in the profit?

Answer»

Hindi me Question Dalo

Ali Share = [80/300 ]*100= 80/3 %

Abdul share = [120/300]*100= 40 %

Avi share = [100/300]*100= 100/3 %

Now, Total profit = 900

Ali Share in profit= [900 * 80/3]/100= 300*80/100= Rs 240

Abdul Share in profit = [900 * 40]/100= Rs 360

Avi Share in profit = [900 * 100/3]/100= Rs 300

tp is the length of perpendieutar from the origin to the line whose ivte amd & then show thaernepta os x

Answer»

1.Area is 1/2 base * height . So for the same triangle area can be 1/2*b*a and can be 1/2*p*c. Hence cp = ab

2 . From above p2 = a2b2/c2

1/p2 = c2/ a2b2

but for right triangle c2 = a2 +b2

Hence 1/p2 = (a2+b2)/ a2b2

Hence 1/p2 = 1/a2+1/b2
