explaining sandmeyer s reaction

Answer»

The Sandmeyer reaction is an organic reaction used to convert an aryl diazonium salt to an aryl halide using a copper(I) halide catalyst. The mechanism begins with a single electron transfer (SET) from the copper to the diazonium to form a neutral diaso radical and copper(II) halide. The diazo radical then releases a molecule of nitrogen gas to form an aryl radical. The aryl radical reacts with the copper(II) halide to regenerate the copper(I) halide catalyst and yield the final aryl halide product.

8.Discuss the various types of memory sticks

Answer»

Memory Stick media was first launched by Sony in 1998, and hasreceived several revisions since then. The original format is nolonger in use, but its name is still used in general to describesimilar types of products. They are used in Sony and Sony Ericssonproducts for the most part.

The original Memory Stick media ranged in size from 4MB to 128MBin size, however could not expand to include more then 128MB ofstorage due to architectural limitations. In response to this, Sonydeveloped the MemoryStick Select first, which is similar to having two sticks sharing the samecase. To switch from one to the other, a physical switch is flipped, and it switches from one partition to the other. While potentiallyoffering more space, the Memory Stick Select was unpopular due tothe inconvenience of having separate pieces of memory that couldnot work together in the same device.

Sony’s next offering is the MemoryStick Pro ,which solved the space limitation and allows for up to 4GB of data,a great increase over the original. Even better, it was backwardscompatible with the majority of the older devices. While the 4GBmodulesare somewhat expensive at $90, 2GBand lower modules are easily affordable, all for under $60, andmany for less then $30.

Currently Sony has three other versions of the Memory Stick onthe market – theMemory Stick Duo and Pro Duo,and the MemoryStick Micro. The Duo is smaller then the original, about two thirds of the size. However, it comes with an adapter to let it plug into normal stickreaders. The Duo comes in the same capacity as the original MemoryStick, while the Pro Duo has expanded storage capability, like thePro. The two versions were created for use in smaller, pocket-sizedcameras and cell phones.

The Memory Stick Micro was created to compete against the microSDstandard. The two devices are almost exactly the same size, withthe Micro being only a millimeter larger in total. While it is moreexpensive, it is also twice as fast as microSD memory, transferringdata at 20MB/second as opposed to 10MB/sec.

So if you have a camera or other device that uses Memory Stickmedia, take a look at the memory selection utility below. Just enterthe model of your product, and our system can tell you what typeof memory you need for that device. Or if you already know, takea look at the Flash Memory section, where you’ll be able to findwhat you are looking for.

Answer»

The eve of the Bhogali Bihu is called the Uruka, the last day of the lunar month of Pousha. On this day, a grand feast, orbhog, is prepared on the night of the first day of the festival. Young men build makeshift thatched-roof huts, known as ‘bhelaghar’ and a ‘meji’ (bonfire) is created with hay and bamboo. Women prepare the feast in the bhelaghar. People spend the night near these mejis by singing songs and performing folk dances. The next morning, people take bath and then the Meji is burnt. It is believed that this burning of the bonfire helps to put an end to the cold season.

(a) What are we taught in our childhood and growing up years?r norente and teachers?

Answer»

To try.

To put in effort.

To not give up easily.

In this feel-good era, it is easy to give up as soon as we face discomfort. If it doesn’t feel great, there must be something wrong with it, right?

Little by little we started expecting easy fixes. It is easier to put in a little effort and gain what we want. If it gets hard, we can give up and look for another thing to make us feel good.

In atime when so many things are available to us, we started feeling entitled to success without a lot of effort.

This is why I find it very important that we teach our children to try, put effort in what they are doing, do not give up easily, trust in themselves and enjoy the journey.

There are so many ways for us parents to help our children understand the value of effort. Every day our little ones are trying to do things, and many times they fail, especially when they are attempting to do something for the first time.

Every failure that our child experiences, and every self-doubt they face is an amazing opportunity for us to teach them not to give up easily.

When they fail at something, we need to send them a clear message:

It is completely normal to not succeed as we are trying to do something, and we need to put in effort and practice in order to get better at it and succeed.

Their failure isn’t anything extreme, and it is definitely not proof that they are bad, or unsuccessful. It simply means that they did not manage to do it YET.
