why does shylock hated antonio? |
Answer» because Antonio would lend money without interest. he had also insulted him by calling him a dog and spat on his beard and robes.antonio didn't like the jews. he also hated as Antonio was a Christian Shylock hates Antonio because Antonio has the privilege of being a wealthy Venetian who charges no interest on his loans, and he also hates Antonio for being a Christian. Additionally, Shylock hates Antonio for the outspoken disdain that Antonio displays towards him.Antonio not only loans money interest-free to many, he has also covered the loans of Shylock's victims without charging them interest to repay him. Thisaction has enabled Shylock's victims to escape total ruin, as they pay off their loans to Shylock quickly without having to pay most of the added charges for these loans. Then, they can repay Antonio simply for the amount of their loan. Furthermore, Antonio's action also undercuts Shylock and forces him to lower his interest rates in order to get others to borrow from him. |

Q.5 How does Dr Kalam envisage the twenty-first century? |
Answer» When the India Today conclave posed the question "India Tomorrow: Global Giant or Pygmy?", I recalled an event that occurred while meeting students in Nagaland during my recent visit there. A Class V student asked me, "I would like to live in a happy, prosperous, peaceful and safe India. Tell me, what will you do Mr President? Also, tell me what I should do for that?" During my interactions with schoolchildren of 17 states and three Union territories which I have visited, a series of similar questions was raised. Sometimes, I feel, we, a nation of billion people think like a nation of million people. Why is it so? I consider no other nation has got a civilisational heritage like India to live a near-peaceful life. Indian minds were capable of absorbing the best of cultures from successive invasions. Now we should not allow any religion or any individual fanaticism to endanger our nation. Because, the nation is more important compared to any individual or party or religion. Even the rich and developed nations, in spite of their wealth and military strength, are afraid of virtual enemies and they live with the fear complex. Economic prosperity and military strength alone do not bring peace to any nation, as we see from the dynamics of the world. In such a situation it is also very important to transform our religious forces into spiritual forces. Evolution of spiritual forces in addition to economic prosperity and military strength will bring happiness, peace and prosperity. We got freedom in 1947 as a result of what I call the first vision for the nation (see "Emerging India" graphic). This vision created the best of leaders in many fields like politics, philosophy, judiciary, science and technology and industry. Improvement took place in many aspects of life, in literacy, agricultural products, strategic areas, certain small and large-scale industries. Now more than 50 years have gone by and we are called as one among the hundreds of developing countries, in a distinct way a separation from G-8 countries. We have many challenges. Nearly 260 million people who are below the poverty line have to join the mainstream of a good life. Hundred per cent literacy, health for all, multiple industrial and agricultural productivity and a lifestyle with a value system have to emerge. Hence we need the second vision for the nation to become developed. After Independence, India looked forward to development through Five Year Plans. The Green Revolution and technological growth enabled India to prosper with self sufficiency in food and achievements in many technological frontiers, particularly in the past two decades |

с пісу нас и се Аппexerb. Dr Bell played a great role in shaping up Helen's perception and understanding of the world.Discuss with reference to your reading of the novel. |
Answer» Helen describes very perfectly and joyfully about Dr. Bell in the novel. We can also see that at the end of the novel she described that she and Dr. Bell had an enduring friendship and was always a source of inspiration for her. When Helen remembered the first time she met Dr. Bell as a child, she wrote that she felt he understood her and she ‘loved him at once’. Dr. Bell referred Helen to the Perkins Institution in Boston and Anne Sullivan was sent to Helen’s home to begin her education. Helen was extremely grateful to Dr. Bell for broadening her horizons. In the following year, the two frequently spent time together, developing something of a parent-child relationship along the way. In 1888, when Helen went to visit Dr. Bell she met with President Grover Cleveland. In 1893, Helen accompanied Dr. Bell to the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, where he acted as Helen’s personal guide and taught her about modern science and technology. When Helen expressed a desire to attend regular college, Dr. Bell established a trust fund for Helen. When Helen began attending Radcliffe College in Boston, it was with this trust fund, as well as further financial support from Dr. Bell that paid for her education. Through Dr. Bell’s constant support Helen was exposed to a new world, new sensations, discoveries and her perception and understanding of the world was enhanced. |

Answer» Anoptical discis an electronic data storage medium that can be written to and read using a low-powered laser beam.Three recordingtypes: read-only (e.g.: CD and CD-ROM), recordable (write-once, e.g. CD-R), or re-recordable (rewritable, e.g. CD-RW). |
| 5233. |
b. Define optical disc and its types. |
Answer» Anoptical disk drive (ODD)uses a laser light to read data from or write data to an optical disc. These include CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. This allows you to play music or watch movies using pre-recorded discs. Computer software also often comes on one of these discs, so you need an optical drive to install software. Most modern drives allow you to write to an empty disc, so you can create your own music CDs or create a backup copy of important data. Types of optical drives There are various types of optical drives. Some of them use only CDs, which typically store 700 MB of data others are DVDs which store 4700 to 8500 MB data. CD and DVD ROM are read only. But the writers also known as burners can write as well read them. CD-ROM drive These drives can read only audio disks, data disks and writable disks and provided with the basic functionality at minimum cost. Some of the advantage it serve is low price but there are some of the disadvantages that it cannot read DVD-video, DVD-audio and it cannot write discs. DVD-ROM drive DVD-ROM drives cost is more than CD-ROM drives it can read all the CD-ROM drives also DVD-Video, DVD-ROM and DVD-Audio disc. It can read only the disc but cannot write. CR-RW drive It is also called as CD writers or burners or recorders. CD writers read the same format as we discussed above in CD-ROM and write data to disks also. CD-RW cannot read DVD discs. CD-RW provide inexpensive backup solution and limited to 700 MD per disc. DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive This is the combo of drives that are providing functionality of both DVD-ROM and CD-RW. Can read any optical disc and write CDs. This combo drive is popular until the DVD-writers price are dropped. DVD writer DVD writers do all things read and write both CDs and DVDs but this flexibility in the single disk used to some at very high cost so this is most common issue to choose this disk. |
