Answer» Mixed methods research isa methodology for conducting research that involves collecting, analysing and integratingquantitative(e.g., experiments, surveys) andqualitative(e.g., focus groups, interviews) research. This approach to research is used when this integration provides a better understanding of the research problem than either of each alone. Quantitative dataincludes close-ended information such as that found to measure attitudes (e.g., rating scales), behaviours (e.g., observation checklists), and performance instruments. The analysis of this type of data consists of statistically analysing scores collected on instruments (e.g., questionnaires) or checklists to answer research questions or to test hypotheses. Qualitative dataconsists of open-ended information that the researcher usually gathers through interviews, focus groups and observations. The analysis of the qualitative data (words, text or behaviours) typically follows the path of aggregating it into categories of information and presenting the diversity of ideas gathered during data collection. |

2. Why was Fagin afraid that Oliver might bring trouble to thethieves? |
Answer» I Fagin's concern about Oliver's disappearance is about self-preservation. He is worried that Oliver may tell the police all about the criminal activities of the thieves, and for good reason. As a fence, Fagin is a person who sells stolen goods and could therefore be arrested and incarcerated for committing such a crime. But this concern poses another problem, as Sikes realises: "Somebody must find out wot's been done at the office." In other words, who is to enquire about Oliver at the police station? Neither Fagin nor the thieves want to go to the station, for fear of incriminating themselves. This burden falls on Nancy, whom Sikes intimidates into going to the police on their behalf. Fagin is safe for now but it is only a matter of time before his crimes are revealed. |

Write a paragraph on Yourself. |
Answer» My name is varun but I'd like to be called as raja. I'm 29 years old and a married man. I'm the second child and the only brother among my 3 sisters in my nuclear family. I'm very closed with my parents and all of my siblings especially with my youngest sister since she lived with me and my wife. I think my family tree is unique because I have a cross-cultural extended family. I have uncles and aunts (from my father side) with a different religious beliefs and cultures which are Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and Pagan. Therefore, we always had a great time gathering together especially when it comes to a festival and celebration days like on Eid Al-Fitr, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Diwali and wedding ceremonies as well. In fact, this is a common situation in my country especially in my home town. Malaysia actually has two regions which are Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo (also known as East Malaysia) and they're separated by South China Sea. I live in Sabah which is situated in Borneo. In my country, Sabah is also known as ‘A Land below the Wind'. We have several of mountains along with a green mountain ranges and natural lifes. We also have lots of beautiful island and white sandy beaches along our coast. It's a right destination for people who love snorkeling or scuba diving. I also love to watch film, listen to music or visiting to my sibling's house in my spare time. Other than that, I love to travel as well. My husband and I always spend our holidays to go to new places whether it's in our country or to go abroad. I took Psychology Counselling while I was in University. After I graduated, I work as a Counsellor in Juvenile Centre which is been under Social Welfare Department for about 5 years. I love my job because it gives me a lot of experiences and shows me a different range of life backgrounds and human behaviours specifically for the youth. All these experiences are useful to myself and make me realize how I should be grateful for having a nice and loving family. However, sometimes I've had a hard time since there are a lot of challenges as well. But even so, I've tried to look in a positive side, because I know dealing with human isn't an easy thing. In order to improve my work performance and myself, I believe there are still many things I have to learn, and need to strive for having a better life in the future. for example, Myself Rajan Tyagi, live in Ghaziabad in the New Panchwati colony. I read in the class 5 in the section B. I read in the school New Era Ghaziabad. I am very punctual and like to do my all works throughout the day at right time. I love to eat simple and healthy food. I like dancing, reading books, playing badminton and cooking in my spare time. I never bunk my classes and attend every class. I go to school daily in proper uniform. I do well in the exams whether main or class tests. I have many friends however Saran is my best friend. |

Q. Write a paragraph about 'Mangoes'. |
Answer» Mango, the king of fruits, is the National Fruit of India in India. Mango is being cultivated in our country for about 4000 years. It originated most probably in the plains of north-eastern states of India or Burma. Mango fruits are delicious in taste, nutritive and very rich in vitamin A. Three are about 1000 varieties of mango. Among them the most popular varieties are langra, dusheri, alfonso, himsagar, fazli, chousa, totapuri, bombai, ranipasand, golapkhas, etc. Mango fruit is mainly cultivated in the plains. It cannot grow in extreme climate. It is susceptible to frost, but can stand fairly dry weather and heavy rainfall. It prefers deep sandy loam, fertile soil. The chief mango producing states are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Mango is an evergreen, dicotyledonous tree. It is a perennial tree with roundish canopy. The stem is woody and hard. It has a distinct trunk and many branches. Its root system is deep and extensive. The leaves are simple and green in color. Young leaves are coppery red in color. Green flower clusters appear at the end of winter. In a cluster, there are numerous tiny flowers, most of which fall off and only a few remain to grow into mature fruits. The flowers turn into mature fruits after 4-5 months, usually in summer-rains. Fruits are juicy with leathery skin and a big seed. The seeds remain viable for about a month. |

Write a paragraph on 'My Childhood Memories |
Answer» I was born in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan where I passed my childhood. I treasure those memories a lot. Many events & happening took place during that phase but I failed to remember all of them. Most of these memories are associated with my parents, grandparents & friends. My dad was a railway employee. Ours was a middle class simple house. Though I & my siblings were not fortunate to buy expensive toys & clothes but we were very happy in the midst of our small family. The eldest member of my family was my Grandmother. She loved me the most. It’s been 8 years I lost her. She was the biggest loss of my life. Even today I miss her so much. Today I am 40 years old. I am very lucky that my parents are alive. During my childhood I used to play the whole day with my friends. We used to play in a ground which was located in front of my home. That ground had golden colored paddy fields. As a child I was very much attracted towards those fields. After reaching home from school I run to that ground to play games. Till today I enjoy the beauty of nature. I still remembered the funny games that I used to play with my friends. In school also I used to participate in various sports competition. I had won many prizes too for the same. I was very competitive by nature. Even today I like to compete with my employees.I can never forget those days. I still remember few names of my classmates. They were Kamlesh, Mizan, Rasel, Somir & Monir. I usually compete with these people because they were good in both studies as well as sports. I was good at studies but was a very notorious child of my school. I was always taken to the headmaster’s room to get scolded. The best part of my childhood was my market visit with my parents. When I used to won prizes & score good results at school, my parents take me to the market where I was allowed to buy anything that I wish to buy. My childhood days were the best days of my life. And I am always grateful to GOD for making my childhood days, the most remarkable period of my life. |

Today is my birthday and I am going to attend one costume party and I have turned 15 years old today. Mom n Dad have already bought me favourite dresses, shoes, clips and choclates. Today I got up a lil early, at 5.30am. Mom n granny gave me the traditional oil bath and then I wore my new dress. Granny and Grandpa have come to bless me. They gave me a Nice colouring set( I was longing for that). Then we went to the temple and performed lil pooja and took blessings from granny, grandpa, mom n Dad. Mom made all my favourite dishes. I then went to school. I distributed choclates in the class and everybody wished me. In the evening I came back at 4pm. Got refreshed. Dad n mom made all arrangements for my birthday party. Mom decorated the house with balloons n colour papers. She also made yummy snacks and dinner for my friends. My friends came at 6pm and I then cut the cake. We had some fun games and then dinner. Everybody enjoyed the party and I received many gifts. Everyone left by 10pm. I was tired by then, but couldn’t stop myself from unpacking the gifts. I receivied more gifts than ever. But the best one was from my Mom n Dad, They bought me the doll house and my registration to the summer camp in Simla .Ah!! They love me a lot and I love them too..now, its time to bed. I must say, it was my best costume party … |
