Answer» The raw materials required for photosynthesis are CARBON DIOXIDE and WATER. Photosynthesis : Preparation of food by the Green Leaves of a plant from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of Sunlight and chlorophyll is called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis occurs mostly in leaves. Leaves are called the food factories of plants. The process of photosynthesis takes place in chloroplasts containing chlorophyll. 6CO2 + 12H2O ----> (sunlight/chlorophyll) C6H12O6 + 6H2O + 6O2 •Carbon dioxide is obtained from the atmosphere through small openings for stomata in the underside of the leaves. •Roots of the plants absorb water along with minerals from the soil and transport them to the leaves for photosynthesis. •Chlorophyll is a green pigment and is usually present in the leaves in structures called chloroplasts. •Sunlight is the source of energy & chlorophyll traps this energy. short answer please The two needed raw materials for photosynthesis are water and carbon dioxide. The water through the roots of the plants, and carbon dioxide moves into the stomata of the plant by diffusion. On the other hand, during the process of photosynthesis, plants release oxygen into the air. |

Where did the Dangars shepherds stay during monsoon ? |
Answer» Ans :- Danger and risk are relative. I have lived in Nainital for a few years and can tell you atleast this much: It rains a lot in Nainital due to its geography. I have lived in other hill stations as well (currently Manali) but, Nainital has one of the wildest monsoons in Uttaranchal/Himachal combined. Last year a cloud burst over the city, resulted in several landslides within the city as well as water logging washed away some buildings including a major chunk of a popular hotel on the mall and a restaurant as well. These sites and a few cars were buried under the silt when the water ran into the lake. I guess one/two people were killed (not sure though about this part). I lost a phone and a laptop due to the rain :/ Unauthorised construction on the mall side of the city, results in these landslides and water logging. So good luck if your hotel room is constructed on landslide zone or blocks a designated water channel. Nainital is otherwise a very beautiful place. One of my favorites until now. Loved it even through the rain clouds and especially enjoyed going swimming around that time of the year. |

difference between equinox and solstice. with line in between |
Answer» A solstice occurs when the sun is at its farthest point from the earth’s equatorial plane, resulting in longer days and nights. It marks the longest day of the year which falls in summer. It is also during a solstice when the shortest day of the year is experienced, in wintertime. During an equinox, the sun is at its point nearest to the equatorial plane. Because of this, daytime and nighttime are distributed (almost) equally for two separate days; one in March, the other in April. While a solstice happens in the summer and winter, an equinox takes place at the beginning of spring and the beginning of fall. |

Think and answer1. It is often said that nature fights back. Why is it said so and in what context? What, in your opinion, are the ways through which nature fights back?hing making it a |
Answer» Nature is the strongest of all powers in the world even stronger than nuclear explosions..the way nature fights back i dont think it will be all of a sudden like in 2012(movie) ocassionally there will be powerful earthquakes, tsunami, landslides etc. I hope mankind doesn’t do any stupid stunts like military operations or weapons testing in the moon …. BTW if the moon is disturbed in any way just even a slight change of its tilt or distance from the earth ,the latter will face 5 times the more disturbance & thats more than enough for a 2012(movie) like situation now thats the hard way….. The easy way is being done by ‘US’ no not the united states but we the whole of mankind by polluting our precious & one & only planet that supports life so basically our generation is safe in this method its the future generations that are going to face the reality of MAN V. NATURE ………..BTW NATURE always wins just like the saying “THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS” |

Wrile tihe effects of Nazism in the schools in Germany |
Answer» Education in Nazi Germany Aims Schools and universities were to: indoctrinateyoung people into the racial ideas of Nazism and make children loyal to Hitler - this was in effect a form of brainwashing; train girls to be goodAryanwives and mothers, and prepare boys to be effective soldiers; make young people “swift as a greyhound, as tough as leather, and as hard as Krupp steel”. Teachers All teachers had to join theNazi Teachers’ Association, which vetted them for political and racial suitability. By 1939, 97 per cent of teachers belonged to it. Jewish teachers were sacked. Teachers had to go to summer school so they could teach Nazi ideas effectively. Pupils were encouraged to inform the authorities if teachers did not teach and support Nazi ideas. Textbooks Textbooks were rewritten, especially in history and biology, to promote Germany’s 'greatness',Aryan'supremacy' andanti-Semitism. Curriculum Thecurriculumin schools was altered to reflect Naziideologyand priorities. Academic subjects were downgraded. The importance put on subjects like chemistry and mathematics was reduced. By the end of the 1930s, religious education was banned. Fitness was vital so children had at least five one-hour sessions of physical education (PE) every week, often for two hours per day. Eugenicswas added to the curriculum. Boys mostly studied history, eugenics and PE. Boxing was compulsory. Girls primarily studied home economics, eugenics and PE. Jewish children were humiliated at school and then, in 1938, banned from education. Boys with potential to be future leaders were sent to specialAdolf Hitler Schools(Adolf-Hitler-Schulenor AHS in German). These were free boarding schools, run on military lines, for boys aged 12 to 18 years. In 1933, many university lecturers were dismissed. However, there were fewer changes in universities than in schools. Students were supposed to attend twice-weekly fitness and indoctrination classes, but not all complied. Only 11 per cent of university places went to girls. |
