Find the heat needed to raise the temperature of a silver container of mass 100g by 10°C. (c=0.056 cal/g °C)

Answer»

Given :

  • Mass of silver = 100G
  • c = 0.056 cal/(g °C)
  • Temperature change = ∆T = 10°C

To find :

HEAT required

Formula used :

Q = m × c × ∆T

Here,

  • Q = Heat required
  • m = mass
  • c = Specific heat capacity
  • ∆T = Change in temperature

Solution :

Q = m c ∆T

➝Q = 100g × 0.056 cal/(g °C) × 10°C

➝ Q = 100 × 10 × 0.056 cal

➝ Q = 1000 × 0.056 cal

Answer»

ong>Answer:

FORCE- In physics, a force is any interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of an object. A force can cause an object with mass to change its VELOCITY, i.e., to accelerate. Force can ALSO be described intuitively as a push or a pull. A force has both magnitude and direction, making it a vector quantity.

sunlight- Sunlight is a portion of the electromagnetic radiation given off by the Sun, in particular infrared, visible, and ultraviolet LIGHT. On Earth, sunlight is scattered and FILTERED through Earth's atmosphere, and is obvious

air- The atmosphere of Earth is the layer of gases, commonly known as air, retained by Earth's gravity, surrounding the planet Earth and forming its planetary atmosphere

★ Physics Question ★ In the given figure is the diagram for ray of light passing through the raindrop. Here, it is clear that there is no minimum angle criteria or total internal reflection (TIR). But according to NCERT, rainbow formation involves Total internal reflection. Is there any mistake in my diagram? Explan the formation of rainbow and also correct the diagram if it is wrong. And also tell does rainbow formation involves TIR. Good explanation needed..! Copied or spam answers are not eligible and will be deleted.

Answer»

strong>SOLUTION :-

Understanding the Figure ::

Here in this figure, the light ray passes from atmosphere into rain drops and then comes out with dispersed colours showing the beam of colours.

Real Phenomenon : Either Total Internal Reflection or Internal Refraction ::

Actually the real process happening there is Internal Reflection not Total Internal Reflection. For Total Internal Refraction, the angle of the refracted ray from the atmosphere to the water drop, should be more than the critical angle. But here that isn't happening. Even in Total Internal Reflection after getting reflected back from the raindrop's surface, whole of the light get's reflected back in the direction it entered. Here the light ray is reflected in opposite direction.

You know why this change is occuring ?

Actually some of the light energy get's diffused making the speed of light change and thus the direction also changes. But in case of Total Internal Reflection, whole of light energy get's transmitted back.

In case of Internal Reflection only the left light energy get's transmitted. That's why it get's reflected only internally in the rain drop.

Role of Total Internal Reflection ::

Actually the approximity of the diffusion of some light energy, is very less and the angle difference required for Total Internal Reflection is also less. When we go on studying the cases of Internal Reflection, we have different cases which aren't based on the concept of CLASS 10. Thus for the convenience of the students, it is taken to be Total Internal Reflection by the NEGLIGENCE of the differences. But according to Ray Optics of class 12, it is made to understand the real phenomenon here.

In real, Total Internal Reflection isn't involved in Rainbow Formation.

About the given diagram ::

The given diagram is exactly correct because the ray of light is clearly and correctly shown in this. Also there is proper marking of direction of the ray of light and also correct angle and phenomenons.

Formation of Rainbow ::

Rainbow formation takes place due to three phenomenon that is Refraction, Dispersion and Internal Reflection. When the ray of light strikes the rain drop it refracts and thus enters in the rain drop. This CAUSES change in it's speed due to difference in refractive index. Then it suffers dispersion which MAKES the bands of colours visible. This forms the colours of the rainbow. Then this band strikes the back surface of the raindrop and reflects internally in the raindrop facing internal reflection. And then we finally it refracts backs coming out of the raindrop as a band of seven colours which is visible to the different organisms.

43.

The charge on an electron is 1.6×10^-19 C .Find the number of electrons that will flow per second to constitute a current of 2A.

Answer» ONG>Explanation:

Current is the amount of charge passing through a conductor in a particular interval of time.

So according to the definition, the formula for the current is:

I = Q/t

I = 2 A and t = 1 sec

Therefore,

Q = I*t

Q = 2*1 = 2 C

One electon consists of a charge of 1.6*10^-19 C. Then the number of electrons passing would be:

Q = N*e

n = Q/e

n = 2/(1.6*10^-19) = 1.25*10^19 electrons

Given displacement of a particle, r(t) = 3t'i + 4t’j +2tk. Find a) velocity of the particle at t=1sb) acceleration of the particle at t= 1s.

Answer»

ong>Answer:

Magnitude of the VELOCITY of particle is 8 m/s

Explanation:

Position : R=4sin(2πt)i^+4cos(2πt)j^

Velocity: v=4×2πcos(2πt)i^−4×2πsin(2πt)j^

ACCELERATION: a=−4(2π)2sin(2πt)i^−4(2π)2cos(2πt)j^=−(2π)2R

∴ acceleration is along −R

Magnitude of velocity: ∣v∣=(4×2πcos(2πt))2+(−4×2πsin(2πt))2=(8π)2SIN2(2πt)+COS2(2πt)=8π

Magnitude of acceleration : ∣a∣=∣−(2π)2R∣=4π2∣R∣=16π2=

4(8π)2=Rv2

Rx=x=4sin(2πt)

Ry=y=4cos(2πt)

Rx2+Ry2=x2+y2=42

⇒ the path of the particle is a circle of radius

Define newton's law of gravitationSpammers maintain social distancing! :)

Answer»

ong>Gravity: P>

➟ The gravitational force of earth is known as gravity i.e., gravity is the force by which earth pulls a body toward it's centre.

➟ The acceleration produced in a body DUE to force of gravity is known as acceleration due to gravity. Acceleration due to gravity is denoted by “g”. And g's value is 9.8 m/s².

➣ Acceleration due to gravity is independent of shape, mass and size of the mass of the body.

➟ Gravitation- Every body attract other body by a force called force of gravitation.

➣ Newton's law of gravitation- The force of gravitational attraction between two points bodies is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Considering two points {\sf{m_{1} \: and \: m_{2}}} are PLACED at a distance {\sf{r}} The force of gravitational attraction between them, {\sf{F \: = G\dfrac{m_{1} m_{2}}{r^{2}}}}

Here {\sf{G}} is constant called universal gravitational constant. The value of G is {\sf{6.67 \times 10^{-11} Nm^{2}/kg^{2}}}

Additional information:

♛ Work - If a body get displaced when a force acts on it, work it said to be done. Work is measured by the product of force and displacement of the body along the DIRECTION of force. If a body get displaced by S when a force F act's on it, then the work W = {\red{\bf{FS \: cos \theta}}}

[Where, ∅ denotes angle between force and displacement]

If both force and displacement are in the same direction, then W = FS.

Work is a scaler quantity and it's SI unit is joules.

♛ Energy = Capacity of doing work by a body is called it's energy. Energy is a scaler quantity & it's SI unit is {\red{\bf{joule}}} Energy developed in a body due to work done on it is called mechanical energy. Mechanical energy is of two types –

  • Potential energy
  • Kinetic energy

➜ Potential energy = The capacity of doing work developed in a body due to it's position or configuration is known as potential energy like, ⑴ energy of stretched or compressed string ⑵ energy of spring in a watch ⑶ energy of water collected at a height.

PE of a body is the gravitational field of earth is {\red{\bf{mgh}}}

[Where, m denotes mass , g denotes acceleration due to gravity and h denotes height of the body from the surface of the earth].

➜ Kinetic energy = Energy posses by a body due to it's motion is called kinetic energy of the body. If a body of mass is moving with speed then kinetic energy of body is {\red{\bf{\dfrac{1}{2}mv^{2}}}}

[Where, m denotes mass and v denotes speed].

Rєlαtíσn вєtwєєn mσmєntum αnd kínєtíc єnєrgч –

{\red{\bf{K.E \: = \: \dfrac{p^{2}}{2m}}}}
