A projectile is thrown to have its max height as H. for what height the ratios of time of being there will be alpha??

Answer»

Dear Student

The trajectory for projectile motion is SYMMETRIC about the POINT of maximum HEIGHT.  The projectile covers the same horizontal distance reaching its maximum height as it does falling from its maximum height back to the GROUND.  It takes the projectile the same amount of time reaching its maximum height as it does to fall from the maximum height back to the ground.
Time of flight is total time taken by projectile.

Using equation for vertical motion for projectile we have
H= ut −12gt2gt2−2ut +2H =0t =−b±b2−4ac√2at1=2u+4u2−8gH√2g=2u+2u2−2gH√2g=2u+2v2√2g=ug    (v =0  at maximum height)t2=2u−4u2−8gH√2g=ugTherefore time of flightT =t1+t2= 2ugMaximum height H =u22g=(gT/2)22g=(g2T2)8g=(gT2)8=g(t1+t2)28

Find the potential energy of a system of four particles. Each of mass "m" place at the vertices of a square of side " l

Answer» MARK me brainlist !!!

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query 6:

The linear momentum of a body is defined as the product of its MASS and velocity and is give by:    p⃗  = mv⃗

If F is the net force acting on the object then,
∑F⃗  = ma⃗  = m dv⃗ dt = dp⃗ dt
Or, the rate of change of the linear momentum is equal to the AMOUNT of force acting on the body.

Let us suppose that p is the total linear momentum of a system of particles which is GIVEN as the vector sum of the momenta of the individual particles. Then,

p⃗  = ∑ni  pi→
or, it can be rewritten as:

p⃗ = ∑ni mivi −→=Mvcom

Hence,
We can say that the total linear momentum of a system of particles is equal to the product of mass of the whole system and the velocity of the centre of mass.

Kindly asked the remaining query via different threads so the experts can HELP you soon.

find the dimensions of a and b from the vander wall equation (p+a/v^2 )(v-b)=rt where p is pressure v is volume.

Answer»

(P + a/V2) (V - b) = RT P is pressure, V is volume and T is temperature. [P] = [F/A]  = [MLT −2/L2] = [ML−1T −2] [V] = [L3] We cannot add or subtract quantities of different dimensions. Therefore [P] = [a/V2] ⇒ [a] = [PV2] = [ML−1T −2 L6] = [M L5T −2] ∴ [a] = [M L5 T −2] Similarly, [b] = [V] =  [L3]

22.

Write about the equivalent pipe methods.

Answer»

Equivalent pipes refer to imaginary pipes which are used to determine the head loss and flow of discharge considering that the flow of discharge and head loss in the actual piping system is same as that of the equivalent pipe. It is a technique used to decrease the large number of ATTACHED pipe systems into an INDIVIDUAL pipe system such that the piping system analysis can be made easier.

In equivalent pipe structure, the major properties of pipe such as length of pipe, diameter of pipe and roughness factor of pipe are required to do the analysis. During analysis, the two important properties of the pipe have to be assumed. The equation of Hazen Williams is the best USUAL equation used in the analysis of equivalent pipe system.

Show the schematic of the equivalent pipe system as in Figure (1).

Analysis of equivalent pipe system

• At first, equivalent pipe for the pipes 2 and 3 are determined as the pipes 2 and 3 are in series. Then, the head loss in both the pipes are found using Hazen Williams's equation.

• After computing the total head loss, the equivalent length of pipe 2′ are calculated by relocating the Hazen Williams's equation.

• The equivalent pipe for the above COMPUTED pipes and pipe 4 are determined. Then the equivalent length of pipe 3′ is found.

• At last, the individual equivalent pipe for pipes 1, 3′ and 5 which are in series are determined. Therefore, the individual equivalent length of pipe 4′ can be found.

Write about the methods for inspecting welds.

Answer»

Hey mate,,,,,
GOOD AFTERNOON..!
here is your ANSWER :-
.
.
.
Nondestructive WELD Examination. Visual Inspection (VT) Visual inspection is often the most cost-effective METHOD, but it must take place prior to, during and after welding. Radiographic Inspection. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) Ultrasonic Inspection (UT) Choices Control Quality...
.
.
.
STANDARDS designed to impart weld quality may differ from job to job, but the use of appropriate weld techniques can provide assurance that the applicable standards are being met. Whatever the standard of quality, all welds should be inspected, even if the inspection involves nothing more than the welder looking after his own work after each weld pass. A good-looking weld surface appearance is many times considered indicative of high weld quality. However, surface appearance alone does not assure good workmanship or internal quality...

What are the different types of irrigation? Write brief notes on each of them.

Answer»

You’ve planted your FIELDS – now what? Seeds (and later, crops) need to be nourished and PROTECTED in the field. Depending on where you LIVE, you may need to have some sort of irrigation set up in your fields. Systems should be efficient enough to get water where it needs to be without overwatering and creating runoff. Cost of water, the irrigation system, and any fuel or labor should also be considered in choosing which irrigation system would work best for you. The method and frequency of irrigation depends on the region you live in and weather patterns. If you live in a dry area, you may choose a permanent irrigation system, while if you get frequent rain, a supplemental system would be enough to help you

❤Center Pivot Irrigation Systems❤– This system is self-propelled, powered by water pressure, oil, or electricity. One side of the machine stays secure, and the other pivots around in a circle. This system is best for circle or square fields. There are additional nozzles that can be attached to the end for extra spray out to cover more ground.

❤Linear Move Irrigation systems ❤ – Great for long fields, this system moves in a continuous, straight line down the field. It can cover several rows at once and is guided by either a cable or GPS, depending on how much you are willing to spend. However, for this system, the land needs to be fairly level to function properly. Linear systems can be ditch or hose-fed.

❤Traveling Gun System❤– Traveling gun systems are BASICALLY just large, movable sprinklers. The sprinkler unit is on a cart that is attached to a watering system. There are two main kinds.

❤Cabel Tow Traveler❤: A hose is used to connect the source of water to the machine. There is some sort of engine needed to power the machine. The machine is then pulled with a cable towards a docking station. It gets pulled forward until it reaches the docking station, where it then stops.

❤Hose-Pull Traveler❤: This is a stationary machine that can be put in the field. It is attached to a hose that is unwound. As the machine moves, it winds up the hose, which moves the sprinkler PORTION of the machine

❤Solid Set❤ – Above ground piping with sprinklers attached, usually portable for maneuverability.

❤Permanent Set Irrigation systems❤ – Pipes that are buried underneath the field that have sprinklers with risers to evenly water the crops. This system works for fairly dry areas that need consistent and even watering.

❤Micro Irrigation Systems❤– These systems are used mostly for efficiency. Water is distributed uniformly and at a low output rate to ensure water conservation. These systems tend to be more energy efficient as well, and since the area being water is hyper-focused, there are often fewer weed issues in fields with these systems. There are two main types of these systems.

❤Drip Irrigation Systems❤: Mainly used for orchard crops, the water drips gently out of the pipe onto a designated location.

❤Micro-Sprinkler❤: Similar to a Drip Irrigation system, this set up has very small sprinklers that spray a fine mist onto a designated area.
